Fire TV for the lounge, I was going to get another Roku but as it's now available thought I'd see if it's any good.

I'm an android user and i've never bought an app. If I want an app, there's normally a free alternative.

Whoop! Been way too long since I've been to a gig of any sort, think the last one was the RATM "X-mas number 1" at Finnsbury park

So I kind of maybe went on a shopping spree today... :D

    Bought some Damman tea:
I love their tea as it has hardly any small deposit and their mint does not turn bitter if steeped for too long. Looking forward to trying the Ceylon tomorrow morning. :)

A Mountain Hardwear Stretch Plasmic Jacket. I didn't have a proper waterproof shell anymore after I had to return my lovely Peak Performance Chase Jacket when I broke it... :waah:
And I couldn't leave it for the price I paid.

A Petzl Core rechargeable battery kit.

    A Philips Hue Tap.

Dr K Beard soap and tonic.

First impressions... I have such a soft beard now.

I bought some accessories for my lathe: a 100mm four-jaw self-centring chuck with adapter plate for the 80mm spindle (hold bigger pieces, including square ones, better), an ER-32 collet chuck (hold round stock better and with more precision). I think I may splash out on a tailstock live centre set.

Oh, and I found a source for 12mm OD, 10mm ID brass tubing: my local Birmingham scrap metal merchant John Keatley Metals. :)

There is something rather sinister about a Dr owning a lathe!

3x pairs of fairly cheap hiking boots (I like the feel of high ankles to normal shoes), on buy 2 get 1 free deal. (One pair for jobs around the section, one day to day pair, and I guess a spare pair)

    Senna on Bluray
    Steve Jobs book

Those two they may as well of just given them away

Wow. You did VERY well. I didn't get anything from my application, and most of my friends failed too.

€200 jacket that went down to €80 because of some minor damage. That's excellent value for a stretchy 2.5 Layer jacket with waterproof zips and pitzips.

The place I work at has an outlet and quite often jackets from all over the country come back there and end up with a 50% discount. €800 Pro Shell in XL? €400 now. :thumb:

But I didn't get to enjoy it for long. :sigh:
When I came home I noticed someone stuck one of those soft sticky security tags to the inside... directly to the membrane. :grr: Apparently it had been there for a long time because when I tried to remove it, it just tore the membrane straight from the outer layer. :eeek: pic
The water wicking coating on the inside had bonded with the glue. So much for waterproofness. This is the first time I've seen this happening, but also the first time I've seen someone put one of those tags on a 2-layer shell. Got my money back, but out of a waterproof jacket for now. :(
I will just keep my eyes open for something new to come along. :p

A pair of Nokia Outlast boots for here on the farm. I tend to tear through boots due to the range of work I do here.

Any feedback? I've been thinking this might be something that would be handy. I have a limited about of control integrated with a harmony remote and have just been using the Hue Pro app for the rest, but having a few presets at the touch (nay, tap) of a button would be nice too, particularly for guests.

Does the official Hue app need to be used to configure the tap?
