Decided to upgrade my Zoom H2 audio recorder to something a little better suited to interviews: the Olympus DM-3.

Biggest advantage over my Zoom H2 is that the DM-3 has zoom capabilities, whereas the Zoom (ironically enough) was limited to either 90-degree or 130-degree recording. It also has a rechargeable battery (and third-party replacements available for about £5). The main reason I picked up this model, though? It's priced at £235 on Olympus UK, a somewhat more reasonable £155 on Amazon, but an Amazon Marketplace seller with good feedback had a used and unboxed version with all accessories and what is described as a "small scratch" on the screen for £55 delivered - and I can put up with a scratched screen for a £100 discount!

Now, I know what you're thinking, but it's ok... I'm getting it delivered to work, so she doesn't have to know for a long time. A long, long, time.

Latest Purchase, arrived on time last Tuesday. Luckily no damage in the delivery...

Installed this week, not overclocked yet (not sure if I will) but tested and everything is working fine.

Cheap though - mine were only 7 pounds each.

    Gratz on the newbie, Ben.

I hear that these are very addictive and expensive in the long term. You'll be wanting a new one in no time.

    (Congrats)

This thing is bonkers wide. It's huge in a way that elicits occasional short giggles at it's vastness.

Technically it's not a purchase though.

Just a down-payment with monthly instalments for the rest of your life. :thumb:

    Congrats.

    LG curved 34"?

I got myself the AOC 34" and it's just an absolute dream to look at. Hands down the most expensive piece of kit that I've ever bought for the PC and thus far has been worth every. single. cent.
