Reason I got one was to demo a large garage and I've used it for rough cutting wood for fires, tree pruning, cutting out floorboards to name a few. Even got a little 10v cordless too for those quick 'bolt won't unscrew but it might cut in half' jobs :)

Great looking tools, health to use and enjoy. A joiner friend of mine has a lot of Makita 18V Li-Ion tools. As you might have seen in this thread in the past, I went the DeWalt 18V route a couple of years ago and am also thinking about investing in an XR series circular saw plus finish nailer soon, which will be first and foremost used for flight case making activities!

As for the here and now... well, I caved. That's all there is to say really. Element Case Sector Pro for iPhone 6 in black. Should be waiting for me at work in the morning.

Some exercise equipment. Nothing special, just a nice, thick exercise/yoga mat and some resistance bands. Really bloody useful.

    Nice :thumb:
I'm looking at picking at getting a new drill as my other has broke.

Can I ask where you bought it?

www.fastfix.co.uk - can't recommend them enough. I phoned at around 14:00 on a Thursday asking if they would be able to get them to me on the Friday and they sorted everything so I had them in my hands before lunch Friday. Also prices are about the lowest I've seen for makita stuff and it's all they sell from what I can see

I like to think I've done some nice deals on lenses before, but this beats everything.

On the right: SMC Pentax-M 35/2.8 with original caps for €2, perfect condition.
On the left: (Carl Zeiss) Jena Flektogon 35/2.8 (M42 mount) and a 55mm close-up filter for €0.50, in great condition except for the filter ring (which I'm planning to fix).

I was really surprised to see the latter had a close focusing distance of 18cm, which makes it almost a macro lens.

    I f-ing love second-hand shops.

A jewellers hammer headed bezel pusher works a treat for pushing out that sort of dent. Pick one up on fleebay for a couple of quid.

I hope you're bringing a more substantial shop vac to the party... first order of the day might be a bit of a tidy up...

The little one in the photo (where's wally style) is really only suitable for attachment to power tools as opposed to proper cleanup.

My first foray into the world of mechanical keyboards
I can see what the fuss is about!

    Ducky Zero with Reds.

I'm now off to find more things to type.

Didn't see your post earlier, so I already did it carefully using a rounded piece of wood and a small hammer.
Turned out pretty fine I think.

I could spend hours making it perfectly round, but filters and caps fit pretty well right now so I'll probably leave it like this (...for now).

Next time I have a dent I'll pick up a bezel pusher to see if it's any easier/quicker.

Come on in, take a seat, make yourself comfortable - you're here for life!

It may be your first foray, but it's unlikely to be your last. :hehe:

    That is very true.

I was very lucky and got a ducky zero (browns) from Dogbert for postage, and now I'm trying to work out how to either persuade work IT to get me one (well two, as I have two machines), or whether I can find some on the cheap that I can buy myself. Its soooooo lovely to type on!

I'm sure it won't. There are several computers that I use on a regular basis that will now need new keyboards.

Yeah I ran them in the Clio until the accident last year. I'd forgotten how much whiter and brighter than the factory bulbs the NBU's are. Just installed them this evening and am very happy with them. Ten times better than the stock halogens!

DKNY grey slim fit blazer 38R

Saw today in store, possibly the best fitting item of clothing ever.

It may sound cheap to some but £99 is the most I've ever spent on a single item of clothing, I'm officially skint on any luxury spends this month.

This is going to be my work blazer mostly so itx not exactly impulse.

This with a white button up, dark denim, brown belt and brogues would look killer!
