We found this stuff when we were oop north visiting Lindisfarne, there were packs of it in one of the shops there. It turns out that we drove right past the place where it is made on our way home, probably a good idea in hindsight as I would have bought way more than this 500g bag.

Next month's purchase will be a 500g bag of their original jerky. That stuff was amazing and produced the best mouth-gravy...

I wasn't too fussed with the Teriyaki one, it was nice but not a patch on the biltong and original jerky.

Well thanks to all of this I have gone and bought both the jerky and biltong variety packs. Time to find out what I like.

Continuing the Lego craze, I just bought 1,454 of these for 1 pence each. My miner needs something to mine...

Where does one buy 1,454 identical Lego blocks from? Ebay?

If it's still in production, direct from lego seems to be the best bet - I've just ordered a handful of missing bits for another set direct from lego for a pittance, ebay seems to be scalpers for the most part.

Ive got one of those! I swear the gearing system for it is more complicated that my actual cars...

Took 2 evenings and a few cans of beer to build.

sounds like the main gearbox on my Unimog kit. That's operated by a series of levers on the side to work the front winch, air compressor, and crane rotation. I also have one of the older super cars which has a 5 speed plus reverse gearbox in it and that is pretty straight forward compared to the Unimog.

I've got my eye on the 8466 4x4 at the moment, which looks to have a similar setup in terms of transmission and driven wheels.

It's not the 4x4 itself I'm after though, it's to combine the parts with my 8458 Silver Champion set and build this beast - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/4073

Hahaha delighted! BT needs a Lego appreciation society now I think

There are so many sweet Lego sets out there and you could easily run into the £1,000 bracket if you wanted to buy them all. And you're right about ebay... some of them want organs as well as the scalp. It's actually ridiculous compared to how it was 10 years ago when I started buying Lego on ebay.

It has to be said I'm not a big fan of the newer style of Technic sets (which eschew Technic bricks in favour of studless beams) but I'm sure they'd grow on me.

    Yeah thats the thing.

My favourite lego set I ever had was the circa ~2001 F1 Car

Now I just have to wait for the damn thing to arrive.....AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Been thinking about getting a gaming laptop for a year or so now and finally taken the plunge.

Snap - this is my aforementioned 8458 Silver Champion - not the most technically unique or highly featured (though the inboard suspension is pretty sweet) but man, just look at it.

i have a giant box of lego in my garage from when i was a kid, i used to love trying to build working stuffs ( mainly boats ) unfortunately i never quite had enough to create much and never had any of the motors to create moving things

that being said, if anyone has any unwanted bags of lego ( especially technic Lego ) id be happy to take it off your hands :)
