Thanks, I actually wanted the Sony A7ii, but, Can't really afford it right now, So, Compromised with the a6000, and i'm really very impressed. It's only the stock 16-50mm lens, but i don't need more than that right now. The fucia photo i posted earlier, was taken in Auto, i left the camera to do the decision making, i'm still playing with the other settings. I'll be taking both it, and m Canon 600D to France in a few days, but i have a feeling i'll be using the Sony more than the Canon.

Tis my Birthday so bought some bits

New moulding Focke Wulf meant to be really good, sneaky look in the box seems to confirm this

Socket converter set so I can use a 3/8" bit on my 1/8" torque wrench an get 5nm finally

Some super tacky bar tape, had some Prologo foam but its a total pig to wrap being so thick. This is thinner so should be easier.

Soon you'll just plug something into your face and lie on the floor dribbling while committing virtual murder!

Oh, and apparently I've bought an Intuos4.

    KITTY-CAT!

Just charging it up now before having a proper play. The Flir C2, not the cat. That's not a latest purchase.

    EDIT:
There's a slight flaw in my plan to use it for hardware reviews: at anything closer than about a metre, the MSX feature misaligns the edge-detect and thermal images. However, it's the work of a few minutes to extract the thermal and real-world images from the JPEG, align them, and overlay them in the Gimp - the result being this:

That'll do nicely. (And yes, I really need to reattach that heatsink on the right - it's clearly doing a terrible job of transferring the heat away from the USB/NIC chip.)

Will your reviews be comparing heat differences between the latest Intel/AMD processors, and your Cat?

The Ducky Legend arrived today, good grief I can instantly understand what everyone says about mechanical keys. I'm currently doing my best to wake up everything within a four mile radius thanks to the fact it's MX Blues, but I don't think they'll mind if I let them have a go too...

Quick tip, if you are fitting bike racks don't install the rubber bit; you'll have to remove it again.

Great bar have them on the wifes car.

No photos yet as it doesn't arrive until Saturday, but I've just been on a bit of a spree at Scan:

    • Silverstone Raven RVZ01
    • 400W Be Quiet SFX PSU
    • Gigabyte GA-Z97N
    • Pentium K G3258
    • Cooler Master Seidon 120V V2
    • 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 2400 RAM
    • MSI GTX 970 "GAMING Twin Frozr 5"

The latter two are going into my main machine to replace an MSI GTX 760 and 8GB Corsair DDR3 1600 RAM, while the rest (and the aforementioned RAM & GPU) are going into a "gaming" machine for the lounge.

I think the PSU is going to be a little tight personally, but I'll see how I get on. This machine needs to be as silent as possible if it's going to live in the lounge, and the combination of >~400W, quiet, and relatively non-standard form factor (SFX) gets expensive quickly. If it doesn't work out I can always sell on the PSU and upgrade, or get a more efficient graphics card like a 750TI - after all, this machine doesn't have to play The Witcher 3 at 4K with all the details whacked up.

Been rocking an Anniversary Pentium for a few months now, mine hits 4.5GHz with not trouble at all, fun little chip : ) think 400w should be fine.

Just that chip with the IGP would be fine, but that PSU has to run a GTX 760 as well (which has been measured at 286W - hence, not much headroom).
