My insurance money came through so paid off the credit cards and treated myself to a Razer Naga Expert mouse and Razer Blackwidow Chroma keyboard.

Lovely mechanical watch which so far is keeping perfect time to the second but it's only been running for 44 hours. Managed to get it with a 30% discount in a nearly new sale and it was in perfect condition although see below:

Unfortunately an incompetent local bodger who misleadingly calls himself a jeweller with the intelligence of a not very bright chimpanzee and apparently using a hammer and chisel ham-fistedly scratched the bracelet when sizing it. Sarah Beth Jewellers of the Royals, Southend in case anyone's interested (and to get it into the search engines).

I've ordered some spare links from Christopher Ward before realising he's also managed to put 3 dents in addition to the deep scratches in one of the non-removable links. He must have used a hammer to put the pin back in.

I've heard nothing but horror stories of jewellers messing up watches, from scratches, misaligned chronograph dials, o-rings not seated, the lot.

But that's a nice watch, strikes me as a blend of Omega Seamaster and Rolex Submariner :)
