I currently have 16 HD-DVDs here, four more on their way, so about 20.

I was looking to get the Planet Earth box set, but I'm not a massive natural history buff, so it'd be a bit wasted on me.

Oh, and I had none before they went out of production so it's technically an infinite increase

 

What happens to the vast collection built up if your player dies?

I've considered picking them up, but I'm pretty happy with just renting blu-rays at the moment (won't be buying them at current prices). Though it would be nice to get a bit more use from my Tosh EP-30, seeing as I bought it before HD died, and paid as such

 

If the player dies then I'll be a bit screwed, but it's still covered by a 12 month warranty which is exchangable at gamestation or Microsoft and I presume they will still have a lot spare.

My first one was dead when I bought it, the laser was completely gone, I got a new one and by treating it well (not moving it much not at all with a disc in) and in a cool, dry environment it should survive for an indefinite amount of time.

I have a megadrive and master system here which both work.I also have a BBC that still works.

I've been kind to all my equipment and I hope it treats me the same.

i've just been watching a few episides of that today, it's simply epic. that sort of programming always seems to come across best on hd, it makes a nice showcase of why every needs to upgrade.

btw i wouldnt worry about the player dying, ebay will be littered with standalone and 360 players by now id imagine lol, i might buy a standalone just for kicks

Do you keep your Megadrive and Master System hooked up to the TV? I've got both consoles in working order can't think of a solution to keep them plugged into the TV without using a complicated arial switch solution.

 

Bacon, sub rolls, half the coke and haribo and most of the space raiders gone. Yum indeed.

Yup, the only thing I need to resolve is a 4 way audio switchbox.

I have a 2405FPW so I have:

360 - VGA
Mega Drive (master system is a convertor) - Composite
Wii - Component
Freeview - S-Video (when I have an aerial :S)

Works fine atm and I'm using a two way VGA switch for the audio at the moment as it was VGA + audio for each input and the output.
