There are buttons everywhere for everything lol, the only thing its missing is an electric rear door opener, has everything else though.

Electric mirrors, seats, heated seats, remote folding rear seats, more sensors and parking crap then anyone needs, BOSE stereo with iphone etc... the List is quite long I think a mad 5 minutes of pressing everything and it wont get used again haha.

I've got it booked in with a friend who's going to detail the outside :) make it look even shinier :p.

We're looking at having a new boiler fitted in our new house and I think that may be the start of me going the 'smart' route.

2 x Schwalbe City Jet 1.95" tyres for the bike. The Fire Pro 2.1s aren't suitable for the road.

Decided I needed some cheapish over ear phones for just general use. Seem to fit the bill well enough.

Push button opening on the pliers, works kinda like a switchblade but as it's not the knife blade that is automatic opening, not illegal!! yay

I'm sure you're aware, but just in case you're not: that tool is still illegal to carry in public unless you can prove good reason, as the knife-blade is locking. Going to or from work where you use the tool is a good reason; having in your pocket as you wander around town "just in case I need it" is not a good reason. This is why I've got a Leatherman Juice S2 these days: it has a sub-3" non-locking blade, which grants me an exception and is legal for everday carry (although the rozzers could still do you under the separate offensive weapons legislation, if they really didn't like you.)

Yup, that's true, in it's standard form. However, I plan to replace the knife with something else. No need for the additional blade blade as I normally have something like my Spyderco UK Penknife or a CRKT Liong Mah #5 (or 6) on me and those are all sub 3" non-locking folders.

You would be done for carrying an umbrella over here if you said that you were carrying it for self defense as then it would be deemed to be an offensive weapon, the same for a walking stick.

Chances are that you might get done for an offensive weapon if you just happened to use it to defend yourself anyways, especially if your attacker was unarmed. It sounds ridiculous I know but that's the big problem here, the decision to prosecute is often largely based on the opinion of the arresting officers and their superiors and will also often depend on what pressure they are being put under by people further up to reduce violent crime (statistics, statistics).

If you stick to the (very well) defined law on carrying a knife, you have quite a bit of protection from successful prosecution as the parameters are stated very well in two laws, firstly statue law states that in order for a knife to be carried without needing a valid reason, it must fold and have a cutting edge of less than 3". It was later decided and put into case law that a locking blade was no different to a fixed blade when opened therefore that sub 3" folding knife must also be non locking.

There are exemptions, for things like religious observances such as with Sikhs and their Kirpan and certain pagan faiths and their athame but these still fall into the "valid reason" clause with those groups being considered to have a valid reason for having them.

The big problem with that law is that there is no defined set of valid reasons with what is considered to be good enough based on the opinion of the courts. Laws should never be based on opinion.

New headphones as the ones I use for my laptop are just so old and uncomfortable now - was using a 6 year old set of Sony XB500's.

Went shopping last night and after listening to some Sony MDR XB950 a new boxed pair came home with with me. They are so comfortable to wear and when listening to music they don't half pack a punch when the bass kicks in. It's like having a set of speakers against your ears :)

Bought a few random things recently.

Currently the Wife and I are reducing the size of our DVD/Bluray collection so got a lot (over 1000) of these:

Also some of these boxes for them to go in:

All the cases will be going into storage in the loft and the DVDs will sit in the boxes in the drawers on the TV unit.

Also got myself a three tiered cold frame for the garden, to grow some plants etc.
