    I think there's been a mistake here.

I've rechecked the product description and there's absolutely no mention of it being able to fly, cook dinner, or have sex with, so clearly there's a misprice going on. Mr.MC should check the invoice and it will probably have the correct price on it (I'm guessing £150). If not contact Customer Services - John Lewis are usually very good.

It's a bargain at £1500, and you can add a small drawer cabinet for a piffling £600 extra.

My rational is that it, much like with chairs, it is probably worth spending the money on something that you are going to be using for many hours every day. It is going to (hopefully) last many years and retain some value.

It was also about the only desk that met my size requirements at more than 160cm long.

Worst case I have 90 days to return it.

Went into work tonight and the dispatcher had a large, sexy DSLR sitting on the window sill of the office. He's a birder so, whatever, but still, I had to ask about it.

Long story short, I now own a Nikon D200 with the extra battery grip and some cheap POS lens. Sometimes you just gotta go for the impulse buy.

Specs wise it's a step down from my current Sony A55, but it feels some much nicer and more rugged in my hand and if I'm going to be wedded to a brand I would rather transfer my affections from Sony to Nikon, especially since the latter now sell an 18-300mm lens.

This. Good furniture is worth spending money on, for sure.

Very nice desk, provided you keep it tidy (not sure about you, but I forever have "admin" and "stuff" strewn all over my office)

The only clear desks are owned by people who don't do anything.

OMG, my desk is very clean and I do a tone more things than most messy desks owners I know. Clear desk = more space to work ! Don't be lazy and clean your desk once your done working.

    Done working?

There are times when you are done working?

    I rest my case.

No comment... But ask any artisan and they'll tell you that you need a clean and well organized working space to achieve good work. I have no time to waste pushing things to make some space or loosing 1h trying to find a lost paper inside a pile of docs.

A NES Game Link for my PlayChoice-10 cabinet, which lets me stick NES cartridges into it. I've already got an earlier version, but it lacks security and name chips meaning it can only be used with a modded BIOS. This version has both security and name chips on it, and will work on the original machine BIOS.

    Y'know what that means, don't you? ARCADE MACHINE LEMMINGS! \m/ -_- \m/

And a set of Chrome machineheads for an acoustic.

The DI-1 is for me, the Machineheads for my dad (who has started bulding guitars... )
