Well my Deathadder has developed a squeaky click and a very temperamental scroll wheel.

So I've gone and got Ducky Secret...

Dismantle and clean to fix squeak, replace rotary encoder ( desolder and solder in a new one of similar spec ). I did the same on my Func MS-3. Also had to cut and splice the usb cable after one of the wires frayed.

    Xmas presents for Dad:

Bottle light, plus a couple empty & cleaned Bombay Saphire bottles- seems like a weird gift but I like the effect and he did too, so...

Artic Ice car air freshener- his sister bought him a new Honda Jazz to replace his old Corsa C that was falling to bits. I'll provide the air freshener since he mentioned he was looking for one, lol.

Picked up a decent bladed tachi for the wife, a Kindle voyage for the MIL, then some trim rings for a small mod and a new knife blade for myself. Oh, and a tsuka for a blade I'm restoring.

My expected take this year? Nada, just like I asked. I don't want people to spend anything on me. Never have liked it.

I went with Rotax. My initial thought was Hagmann given nearly every trombone player in the UK uses them, however after trying them out I found (for me at least) that they were quite unfocused.

Had to google as I didn't know what they were but by the looks of it (only from a quick google) my horn uses Rotax, not really had any issues with them, even after not playing the instrument for 5 years only required a bit of elbow grease to get them back up and running (well one of them).

Yeah that's the beauty of rotax, very similar to the original rotary valves so they're much less temperamental. Or so I'm told anyway. Having played on original rotary, greenhoe and Thayer. I'm pretty excited to say the least.

On a side note; never buy anything with a Thayer valve. They need near constant maintenance or they stop working.

Fsck Thayer. Hated them. Working on a new F horn design, but my computer is down for cabling and I need my more advanced Logitech mouse back to keep working.

We got one of these, a Peugeot 307, since our micra was just too damn small. Not bad for under a grand, and since I got it off one of my stepfather's workmates (he's a mechanic, a damn good one), it's been fixed up, the thing is like new.

Pro Duo Adapter for the PSP. I hacked it and put a custom firmware on it, for some homebrew. Not bad for £1.
