Today, after work, I'll be picking up my new pool cue. :D

You may wonder why I post this before I have actually picked it up, but the reason is that it's already paid for. Anyway, I imagine I'll spend a few hours in the pool hall tonight.

I just sold my 7900GS to a friend, so an HD 4850 will be ordered ASAP, looks like I'll go with VisionTek for this one.

I'd have gone for a set of PWs, but to each his own.

Yeah the range is quite attractive, but they just aren't flexible enough for any sort of changing light conditions. I do a lot of nightclub photography and the ST-E2 nails the exposure automatically every time, it's seriously cool. Quick example here. Would very much recommend :D

Fair enough. How'd you shoot that shot anyways... Av with fixed exposure time on the strobes or what? I honestly just don't trust the ETTL, especially given what I've seen cameras do when you use Av+fill flash. Given enough time I'll probably end up with one but that's about as low on the list as is possible.

can always have a radiopopper... Now given the current prices I'd also go ST-E2 + poppers

It starts with your PC, but sooner or later you'll be measuring your toaster, shaver, etc.

Nope full manual. :) The venue is pretty dark generally so it's usually just ISO 1000, 1/5th, f/2.8 with E-TTL taking care of the foreground.

Olympus 850SW - waterproof camera! It's a really weird feeling, dunking your working camera in and out of a basin...
