Picked up an Ergotron MX monitor arm to give me a little bit more space on my desk, partly in preparation for a 34" superwide screen as I want to pick on up in a few of months when I upgrade my machine.

    Copper pipe

About $250 worth of it now, maybe more. Will be more before this is over.

On the other hand, I mocked up one of the manifolds for my system yesterday and damn, this thing is going to be cool.

I'm converting a rec room at a friend's house into an apartment I'll be renting. The space was never intended for occupation, so there is no plumbing in the walls. We got water up from tapping into the supply for the garden hose, but once it gets upstairs it goes into copper which will be mounted on the outside of the walls.

Always entertaining when you go into the hardware store and ask for two items. The first one makes them think you're an idiot and they're not even sure what the second one is. What? Doesn't everyone need an adapter from 1/2" PEX to 1 1/2" copper pipe? Turns out the threads on my thermometer are proprietary and go into a thermowell, which of course didn't come with it. Did I mention I need two of them?

I'm plumbing my ass off right now so I know the feeling, I expect for $250 you got about 30 feet of copper at today's prices :hehe:

Our house was built in 1929 so it has copper, black steel, lead, ductile iron, polybutylene, galvanised steel and now cross-linked polyethlene.

I have an Ergotron and they are brilliant bits of kit, well worth the money.

Yeah, it's definitely a worthwhile purchase with how robust it is.
It's probably the simplest bit of kit I've ever had to setup too, thought I missed something out when I first put it together as it took such a small amount of time.

Tiles and tiling paraphernalia, and the time of a man to apply said items to the wall in the form of a backsplash.

I'm at a loss as to why this wasn't already done when I moved in to the place, but at even more of a loss as to why I have only just sorted it having lived here for nearly three years!

Hamfunk, you warned me about the wrapping paper (orange inside too)! - my eyes, they burn :eeek:

However, once inside, we have MX red goodness and some aluminium for good measure

Sharp - range extender or no?

Google is pointing me to fingernail polish, and I'm fairly sure that's not what you mean.

New mic, with pop filter and a mounting arm coming tomorrow which was a bundle on Amazon for the Blue Yeti with the other bits for just under £130 incl next day delivery, as I am not a prime member I have to pay for next day delivery.

Also managed to find two small desk's that I have managed to sort out to make it easier to use my pc and will try playing some games later but it looks and feels better.

Also as a added bonus today went to Sports Direct to look at trainers, found a pair that I liked and decided to buy them as well as a couple of pairs of loose track suit bottoms for around the house, went to pay for them expecting it to come to over £70 didn't click with me that something, hadn't been charged for when I was walking out as I was thinking of other stuff, only to find out when I got home that they had not charged me for the trainers :D
