If you know what these are, you probably spend too much time playing flight or space sims. And yes, they are awesome.

HTC 10, and a 128GB MicroSD to keep it company.

I told myself I'd wait patiently to see what happens with the Pixel phones in a few weeks, but the rumours have me underwhelmed, and the discrete DAC and microSD are a huge bonus (which the Pixels almost definitely won't have)

Could be an unfortunate/expensive lesson in patience if the Pixels turn out to be a home run, but the £100 off from HTC supposedly ends this weekend, so as good a time as any.

I've missed Android. Relegating the iPhone 6 to nothing more than a Sonos remote will be satisfying.

Looks like a nice bit of kit that. I'm a big fan of how many things are now USB rechargeable. It just makes things simpler having only one charging method, not to mention less fiddly. USB bike lights are a godsend, so much better than using rechargeable AA/AAAs.

Fantastic, innit? I've got a great head torch with loads of features that you need to plug into the mains to charge, and a cheap (it was actually free with a wind-up lantern) head torch that you plug into USB to charge. Guess which one of the two I actually use?

Does the head on that go to a full 90 degrees?

120, so you can stick it under a baseball cap brim and point it where you're walking.

Yes, it can, and beyond. There's a picture here: it goes to 45 degrees, 90 degrees, and 120 degrees ( as well as zero degrees, naturally.)

EDIT: had to go into the element inspector for this (stupid lightboxes), but this is what it does:

Oh excellent, ta. I've been looking for a reasonably priced decent one that can do that as the house end of our driveway gets proper dark when I come home in winter. I have had to unlock the door through feel...

This I can clip to my bag strap or jacket and still have both hands free.

Off I go to Heinnie Haynes (again...)

Heinnie's out of stock at the moment, so I ordered mine from Nitecore.co.uk - t'was about two quid more expensive including postage.

I'll just chuck on a notification from Hennie's. I get a discount from them via one of the FB groups that I'm in.
