    It's very pretty.

I'm still drooling over his All-in-one rig on the MP too.

I've been fortunate enough to have a play around on a 9550 with the 4k screen and it was absolutely delightful. You'll be very happy with the 9560 I would think.

Also just remembered to order this...

ecookies for who correctly identifies what/why :D

You could always make me a low-ball offer and see what happens. I have to clear it off my desk tomorrow to make room for the new monitor coming. There will be a tear shed.

I think so. There are a few quirks and niggles that stop it from being perfect, but then nothing ever is - I'm very much hoping for no coil whine or wobble like some have had, but that's what returns are for.

I really wanted the Razer Blade to be a better fit, but there were a few minor and not-so-minor issues that put me off to start, and when I found out the 16GB was non-upgradeable that was a deal breaker.

The MBP15 seems to be the only other competitor, but it's not perfect either. The matching spec of the XPS is £3330 (or a full £1200 more), and Apple can go take a long walk off a short pier if they think I'd settle for anything less than absolute perfection (and then some) at that price!

The crew has had enough of being led to failure by your captain and as First Mate it falls upon you to grant the chance to step aside or face death?

You're half right. You can have a cookie, but not a particularly interesting one. Chocolate chips are right out.

    WTAF?

I'm going to go with port replicator or docking station.
If only - I was due a few hundred quid tax rebate, but it didn't appear in this month's salary. I shall just have to admire from afar and shed a few tears myself.

Didn't realise it was an actual image of what you ordered! No free product placement for Dell in your upcoming Hollywood blockbuster?

    Something like that.

I'll be using the laptop for work, and the laptop lid will frequently be facing a room full of clients/prospects.

It wouldn't have been a problem with a Razer or MBP, but it's right out with this one.

After the day ive had, any cookie is a bonus.

I like that debranding. I do it myself by way of stickers supplied with car parts, didn't think to look for actual debranding stickers.

Why are Razer or Apple okay but Dell not?

I started looking for a full top skin, turns out dbrand do just logo cutout. For $1.95 I can't complain.

    Reasons. Work stuff.

I think I did, but it was to pass a quiz to earn a requisite number of book credits for the school year when I was in 6th grade circa 1994, so I may not have fully taken it in.

I'd take a wild stab in the dark that he sells/consults on IT enterprise stuff, and doesn't really want to be seen to 'sway' customers one way or another with regards to brand (That tends to leave you holding the can, if the customer can legitimately blame you for their decision).

It's unlikely that anyone would use Razer or Apple kit as enterprise grade server kit, so I guess they're fine because they're not an influence on the final decision.

Just bought this, I hadn't heard of it before so I'm glad I noticed it :)

It really makes a difference - my build had 4 fans running at max, and now I've switched them to PWM via this hub, the PC's very quiet. :thumb:

Amazed at how small it is - I know it's probably mainly wiring wizardry but it's insanely small. Nice that it easily fits behind the motherboard tray.

Close, but it's even more clear-cut than that. Dell is a competitor.

I wasn't going into specifics because work and public forums and all that, but then considered that Dell have their fingers in so many pies these days, it's not even that specific.

I took a rather less professional approach to the Apple logo on my laptop...
