Damn straight! He pays for the wear and tear on the car, insurance, road tax, services, and a million and one other things, as well as doing the actual driving. He's damn right, you DO need to chip in for his gas. Don't be so flipping ungrateful!

Absolutely you do! Nobody likes freeloading. And as the previous poster said; he pays for regular wear and tear.

    Some aluminium primer,
Matte black spray paint from halfords,
    Two huge jubilee clips,
    Two cheap off-road bicycle tyres,
    Some WD-40,
    A new stanley knife,
Two big rolls of camoflague print hockey tape,
And two sets of battery operated green electro-luminescent string.

I have the strangest feeling I'm going to be the only person weird / odd enough to actually try and "casemod" a pair of powerbocks...

I bought these from eBay actually. From what I understand, you can get some very similar sets from Ikea, of all places!

If you do a quick search for "Electro Luminescent String" in your search engine of preference, you'll find there are a load of eBay listings, and also some specialist dealers who will sell you whatever length you require.

They're about £2 and run off 2AAs (so 3V). It's pretty low quality though and only about 30cm long. The glow isn't very impressive either.

A few people at uni here made a couple of hundred "F**k Wills" t-shirts to protest at all the toffs around, still hilarious when I see someone wearing one.

I've bought a Touch Diamond so very soon either it or my Glofiish will be up for sale...

My Linux box recently started to power down and boot cycle randomly. Investigations show that the processor is getting hot, and no amount of new thermal compound or replacement HS&Fs work, so I've had permission from "the woman with my money" to buy new kit. So recent purchases from Ebuyer:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
    Asus P5N-E Motherboard
    ASUS 8600GT 256MB Graphics Card
Lian Li PC-7 PLUS II Case
    Hiper 580W Type-M Black PSU
Maxtor 250GB SATAII 8MB Cache HDD
    LG 20X SATA DVD±RW/DL/RAM
    Crucial 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 667MHz/PC2-5300

My first ever play with Intel based hardware - started out using Cyrix 6x86 processors (remember them?), and stuck to AMD ever since. Will be interesting to find out how "different" they feel :D

Stupid new Vista dual core just got a new 1Gb DDR2 533 memory stick. Won't recognize it or boot. Runs like a scalped ape in my Jetway mini-ITX so I know its not bad. This is my first comp. with dual core and multiple DDR2 slots, Think I may need a pair to replace the 2 512Mb in the box now? Oh Yeah Vista Home Pro. Another oxymoron.

Are you mixing RAM types with multiple sticks? Often the cause of problems.

I don't understand what's to mix! I take out the 2 DDR2 533 sticks of 512 Mb and stick in 1 DDR2 533 stick of ram in slot 1. The eventual goal is to get to at least 2 GIGs. Vista and it's wonderfullness often gets to 99Mb out of 1 Gb free memory. It's stock as a stove and the ONLY thing I added is FireFox3. Nobody over the age of 12 uses IE. XP runs fime on 1 GB. I only got Vista as a user learning experiment for work. I have done Linux since Linus was in college and we sent him virtual beers. 0.0.97 - I have a T-Shirt, and a plush TUX proudly in my cube at work
