I've currently got one of those £4 HDMI splitters and every night before bed I fight with it for 30 mins before being able to watch TV. So I have got this, hoping that the Amazon fire stick will no longer keep auto switching.

Not sure how much longer I will be here in this flat, so I got this for now. Was cheap, but it's better than a pile of clothes on the floor.

And these so I can fix the bedside cabinets and actually be able to open them.

    Always need one more..

Saves me having to take chargers into the bedroom too :)

Gotcha. We get subsidised cooking gas here in India, so there's never been an incentive to switch to electric. In college all my apartments had pre-equipped kitchens with gas (familiar) or electric coils (f***ing rubbish), so I don't think I've ever actually used an induction stove.

I've always wanted a French top though, and that flexi cook thing got me excited thinking I could grab one on the cheap!

I picked up a bargain on eBay. A Berg HT208 Crimp Tool for Dupont pins. Ludicrously priced when new and I won't get a great deal of use out of it but couldn't resist for £20.

That's funny, that's exactly what I'm doing today: laptop shopping.

Heart is set on either a ThinkPad X1 Carbon or a ThinkPad X250/X260. Can't really decide right now, going to have a look at Dell's offerings...

And I was wrong... it turned out the PSU gave up the ghost after 2 and a half years. So.... I treated the girlfriend and myself to one of these babies each. Nice little upgrade from the CX500M we both had before. Why two you ask?Well, because I got a great price on Amazon, that is why.

Already did :). I have an x240 turning up today with a 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, and an i5-4200U. I realised that I really don't need another really fast really powerful laptop around the house: I already have an Inspiron 7559 with an i7-6700HQ, 16GB RAM, and a GTX960M - that's more than powerful enough for any high-demand tasks I might have. I've rendered video on that laptop and it's been just as quick as my old desktop was.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for ThinkPads, especially the X-series.

Upping my event coverage game ahead of a possible trip to Copenhagen:

    EBL Smart USB Battery Charger
, so I don't have to take my massive gert mains-plug one but I can still keep the flash batteries topped up.

Kinden Travel Adaptor with 6000mAh (yeah, right) Power Bank
, to serve as both adaptor for my mains stuff and top-up for my USB stuff. Neat idea, and cheaper than an identical device with someone else's logo on it.

    Lenspen
, 'cos it's been a while since I replaced mine and they're getting a bit smudgy.

[IMG]Hama Pocket Microfibre Cloth, for the same reason.

It's a great city, was recently there for a friends (exceptionally civilised) stag do. We took one of the guided boat tours, there was some mention of the fires of 1801 and 1807, and the gun boat buildings - I slid lower and lower in my seat... Despite that it was a good tour, and (obviously) there are some angles you can get from the water that are impossible from land. However, if you're serious about getting some good shots, I'd say skip (or supplement) the tour and hire out a GoBoat so that you can go exactly (within reason) where you will.

Now that travel adapter looks just like the sort of thing I need.
