You'll be amazed how useful the blower tips can be for all manner of things, large area solder, heashrink, melting bugs, non contact wire stripping, crème brûlée etc

Small things. Like the fact that paths work differently on windows. Like the fact that you have no package manager. Like the fact that you will have to learn a completely different set of cli tools than 95% of programming population. Like the fact that it doesn't really ship with proper implementations of scripting languages (ruby/python/perl). The fact that cmd is nowhere near as good as sh/bash/fish/zsh.

Well, I think I have? Payment confirmation went all kinds of wonky and ended up receiving 2 PayPal "order submitted" emails (with separate transaction numbers), but no actual order confirmation from Corsair themselves... Submitted a support ticket to get an update.

Wanted a mech keyboard for use when laptop is at home (have the desk setup in the living room now), wasn't bothered about RGB and never used a macro button in my life, but did want one of the aluminum-bodied models, so seemed a good deal and the red does actually match the 7577 anyways.

 

Filco Majestouch 2 tkl, mx browns. No more dull, all black for me.

 

I really want a TKL mechanical. But think reds/browns will be too noisy. Not many decent silent options out there either.

WSL. For when you really really have to run Windows but cannot deal with the POS terminals; "CMD" utterly sucks and PowerShell is a precious snowflake with a syntax all of its own.

These days I use a MacBook for work because it's the closest thing I can get to running a "proper" operating system within the constraints our desktop support people have (arbitrarily) set. You can prise my bash shell and my POSIX compliance from my cold dead fingers...

 

More RGB strip controllers as I’ve run into an extremely bizarre issue with my current ones.

I should be able to finish my lighting this weekend or early next week, and then my deck is ready for the cool stuff!
