This deal is still available if anyone's keen. I'm liking the Note 8 monthly cost of £26 and will probably go for it tomorrow unless I find something better (which is unlikely). The S9 is a lovely phone and £16/month is a great deal but I'd rather a larger screen.

lol, one of the reason we have bought it. 7m x 6m garage.. just big enough for my V8 project.

I live in Australia. This is what we call a townhouse In a complex of about 20 ( I think ) in this one. We got lucky with this as its a tri level home that ticks all our boxes in our price range, simply put, thats what $500k can buy you over here. lol We are getting to the stage where $1m is the norm in cities, its absolutely ridiculous!

Sheeeeesh! How do you (collective) afford that? You must make bank. :D

I had no idea Aussieland was so expensive.

What’s the square footage on the house?? How big is the yard?

Dont get me wrong, the rural areas are cheap as chips ( my sister has 175acres and paid $800k for it ) but anything near a city is getting stupid. Average 3 bedroom stand alone home around where I live now is $7-800k, Sydney is starting at 1mill these days.

I certainly couldnt afford it on my own but wages are relative.

Yep. Google says an Aussie dollary-doo is worth 57p today (73 freedom pennies), so his AU$500k is roughly £275k or $363k freedom bucks

Not too shabby. £275k would get you something like these round my way:

    (3 bed semi, new-build)

    upload_2018-11-26_9-15-34.png

(Three separate properties all sold together, 8 beds total)

    (5 bed detached)

    EDIT:
    To keep it on-topic:

Not sure if I like it or not, but for some reason I can't stop looking at it...

I'm considering getting the D3 game itself for Switch but I'm just not sure if I am going to get on with the controls for it.

You could always wait for Diablo Immortals which will definitely have easy controls and will be extremely accessible. And you could always play Crusaders of Light until then, NetEase's game which will be re-skinned for the Diablo Immo release.

    /rant

The D3 game is the single reason I'd consider buying a Switch.

As the Aussies say ... Yeah, nah.

I mean I'm so used to PC controls that I don't want to sully myself by stepping down to a console version.

I will literally never play Diablo Immortals or anything from NetEase. Ever.

Managed to nab a set of these, Creative Gigaworks T40 series II, locally-ish for £20. In brand new condition, still got the cellophane on the back of them. Always wanted a set of these and I'm really pleased with them. A very noticeable improvement over the T20s series I I got mid last year.

^ Nice. BIG Gigaworks envy. We've had a set of T20s for years - interesting to hear that they're noticeably better.

Awesome stuff, been running a set of the T40s for ages. Used to run my sound through an old hifi set that I had kicking around and these sound so much better. Only issue that I have had in the past is the heat from the power pack, keep the top of it free from stuff and everything is all good.

Interesting to hear that assessment of them.
At work, I've gone the other way with speakers.
I picked up a very cheap Denon Micro Hifi with Mission made SC-M10K speakers, and they have been a whole new world of sound for listening to the radio and MP3 music on my PC.
The T40s still appeal nevertheless, as they're so neat and if they're better than the T20s, that's a real win.
