That last sentence is just what it's all about really, isn't it? Not doing really stupid things by doing just normal-stupid things to ease the urge. ;)

Right now I just overclocked my 3770K to 4.4GHz and things will last a bit longer.

I doubt it would work. Many reasons, but firstly the windows are at least 2m high in the front of the property. There are three (bay) and they all leak like mad. The problem is the paint is flaking and dirty. so I doubt that would stick. Also, in the summer they absolutely have to be opened, because otherwise you would cook. It's like a sauna in here otherwise, the only thing that keeps it habitable is the sea breeze.

Then the bedroom window leaks really bad. Like, you can see the curtains swinging around bad, and the bathroom window has a huge gap in the frame at the bottom, where they pulled a piece of wood off the wall that had the old toilet cistern on it.

It's just a very old building that has never really been updated or what not. It also has 13.5ft ceilings, so again you just waste tons of heat. The best thing to do in the winter is basically go to my mother's house. There's no reason really not to, and I am on borrowed time here any way. Last thing I would want to do is spend £100 sealing up all the windows and get my eviction notice a couple of weeks later.

But yeah, this is a summer place no doubt. The winter here is ten times harsher than 4 miles inland. I go to my mother's house and it's like being in another world. I actually had to turn the radiator off there in my room as it was so warm I had to open the window.

Synology RT2600ac router. Just installed now and connected to Sky fibre through an Openreach modem without any issues. Much better range, options and general feel over the crappy Sky Q hub.

Neigh, just 4x gigabit LAN ports and a single WAN port. You can change one of the LAN ports to a WAN port if you like and run failover or load balancing if you wanted.

Stunning cards. I've always liked blower cards unless they are under water, and that has to be the beefiest of them all. I wish companies would have pushed ideas like that. Like, bigger blower fans to reduce the noise and increase the cooling, instead of making storage heaters.

Enjoy man. If you ever feel like letting go just shoot me a PM :)

I still have a Blackberry Porsche (the touch screen one) 9982? something like that. I now use it connected to a small JBL speaker and have it as my radio :D

I'm assuming that's an f1 joke which explains why it went over my head, I prefer GT3, more racing, less pitlane politics

I have no money. What I do have is an American Express card which has been collecting Avios points for... well, a fair few years. I don't use it much, but still. I've never really bothered with looking into the Avios stuff, but I got a letter this week saying it was transferring to British Airways Executive Club.

So, log on, see what's what. Flights are out: you have to pay cash as well as points, so nuts to that. What's that down the side, though? Wine?

    Oh, my...

Oh snap. I've mainly stopped flying BA, and as you say it's quite a challenge to make good use of Avios on travel anyway... didn't realise this was there, I may join you.
