I like a pointless accessory as much as the next person, but what is the point of this?

I'm disappointed, I thought the shield would be to protect against swords and axes...

I'd be very interested in tests on noise levels before and after that's fitted, 'cos it looks like it'd whistle like a right 'un - look at some of the tiny gaps in front of the centre fan...

So, its a finger guard (bad one) for inside the case where you generally don't go poking your fingers anyway?
I mean, yeah looks alright but I'm with Gareth, it'll just make noise surely?

Mind you I have just remembered my rig is the polar opposite you can poke the graphics card and its fan without any restrictions so as there is a huge hole in the side of the case with no guards maybe it could be useful?

Will do! Fans are really lazy though, the heatsink appears to do most of the work. When they do spin up it's at a very low speed. I'll have to give it a run under Metro Exodus once the 45GB download has finished! Gave it a spin playing Frostpunk, silky smooth at 60FPS never exceeding 60 degrees with everything high and I noticed the three fans spin on and off at various stages of the game. I imagine EVGA setup unique fan profiles for each fan. Noticed that the card has 10 temperature sensors dotted around the entire GPU PCB. It's much overkill but I'm falling in love with this card a little bit already!

I've found the best representation of 'puke yellow' that this GPUs RGB LEDs have to offer as well!

It's more beautiful than I thought it would be. Watercool make some stunning looking blocks and I'm so chuffed they were able to sort this for me. They didn't release a copper version of this block for 980ti's, only nickel plated ones, so they've made this one as a special order. Then they've gone and sent me a naked backplate after I told Jakob I'd be stripping the anodising off anyway. Mega work.:clap::rock::clap::rock:

Great service leads to repeat custom, pity more companies don't understand this.
