Budget airflow to put on a new shelf out of the way (the isk-600m is a lovely case and not too toasty but i need a thinner case for the shelf):

Plus 2x140mm and a 120mm Noctua reduxes to keep it chilly, and unblingy on a shelf under the desk.

    Should free up some space.

Mine is currently on the floor in the lounge. Fans are being destroyed from all the dust, fluff and cat hair being sucked off the hard flooring (:eyebrow:).

1 top fan (that had been a little dodgy since I had them) has completely packed in, the lower front one has the tick of death, I fear more may follow. Should never have removed the front dust filter on the last rejig.

I have 80mm feet and a PSU filter. Had to add both myself but it works.

Mine is just into the kitchen lino, so I keep it clean.

I had about a 30cm wide bit of deadspace between the desk and the wall in the loft eaves.

A freestanding shelf unit fits snuggly in there on which it'll live. Handy as it'll be a good few cms off the grounds and also off the desk.

Purchased my first turntable, a 1975/76 Kenwood KP-1022. I got it for 5 bucks at a thrift store, however, there is some work to be done. It needs a belt, rubber grommets for the motor, RCA connectors, and the spindle needs to be lubricated. On the bright side, the motor spin smoothly, the controls work perfectly, the electrical components look sound and the plinth is in good shape. It also has a dome that is cracked at the center but it's still good. All in all, even with the replacement parts required, it's a bargain.

Added a Ring Stick-up Camera Elite to my home security.
Surprised to find it came with a USB PSU and a POE injector with its own PSU in the box! :jawdrop:

Purchased an Asus Z87-Pro on eBay. If all goes well, my i7 4790K should be back into action within 2 weeks.

It has been one of those days where you get up and by mid day you're skint for a month.

I got this through a friend of a friend. The pink slip is the original receipt for £4500.

At first I wasn't sure I needed it, but shiny. Then after I bought it I found out that it's absolutely perfect for what I need. I have a TV audio signal split to a subwoofer and an amp with some speakers on. It sounds really nice, but the sub is really powerful. I've literally set the gains to 0 and it is fine in light music but anything like rap or dance it just shakes the entire flat. Which concerns me, as I don't want to upset any one. Movies are also a nightmare. The music is so bloody loud and the voices so low that I literally had to turn the sound up and down about 30 times when watching Control (it's about Joy Division). It's so bad I can't watch movies at night, as I don't want to be that guy who keeps people awake. However, this thing not only allows me to control the sub and amp dependently but also has a "night mode" where it increases voices by 15db and reduces bass by 10db and music.

Which is ideal. I hoped my TV would have a feature like that but nope. It also allows me to connect up my rear speakers and amp one day if I wish, as well as carrying a 192khz DAC.

    Very happy. It'll look fantastic.

pricey but being able to control every single led in the strip is nice and being a double headed controller; I'm already thinking of ways to get it to control the desk backlights as well.

What rad is that? I need that coppery glory in my life.

This is what it's like watching the walking dead. Normal conversation is so quiet you have to turn it up so much, then something dramatic/explosiony happens and you lose an eardeum. The sound engineer/editor needs shooting.

I guess it works in the cinema but it drives me nuts. If I turn the sub down any more it's off. Touch the volume and it literally rattles the plaster boards.

This should give me far more control over it.
