Nice. Let us know how you get on. I've been sorely tempted to give this a try myself to reduce the dreaded cable spaghetti in my M1, but the costs seem a bit high for a one-off job (plus I've never done this before).

Master MX 3 // From the looks of things they’ve changed the design so hopefully fixed that rubber stuck down that makes me rage.

    3 of these fellas:

2 of them are going to hold my wife's nail polish collection (1000 bottles and counting) whilst 1 of these, plus another red one (wife doesn't want one black and one red, even though the red one already has 600 nail polish bottles in it. I, on the other hand, don't care) are going to be used for my model paints and edc gear.

PS4 Pro with God of War: Dad of Boy, and some fortnite crap that I'll never use. I'm still not sure whether to pre-order FFVII Remake or not. On the one hand NO PREORDERS, but on the other hand it's a game I've been waiting a long ass time for and it's pretty much the reason for getting the console!

God of War: Dad of Boy (so many memes came out of that game...) is good so far though. And I've really missed using a PlayStation controller, so much better than Xbox controllers.

The original FFVII was why I bought my PS1.

    Lost days to that.

I had one already, got it in... Christmas '95...'96... maybe... I think. I lost many MANY hours of GCSE revision when FFVII came out! I played it again a year or so ago on the original hardware and a CRT TV, and it was absolutely fantastic.

The remake looks aceballs though, I can't wait for it to come out.

Still got OG FFVII for PC on 4 CD's... not brave enough to faff about w/ emulators, though (no I do NOT want a tutorial, TY).

I don't even know if the original version can be made to work on modern versions of Windows without lots of hacks & mods... If you want a version that "just works" it's probably safer to get a more modern version from Steam, GOG, wherever...

With my track record - EVERYTHING. :p

Indeed... but I'm not in that much of a hurry to re-visit the game.

I've been looking at the J-Hack 2427 solution for my M1. He's running only 7 cables from a Corsair SF PSU to the 24 pin socket on the mobo by taking just 12v out and using Pico PSU type 12v to 3.3/5v unit to sort the rest.
Spaghetti reduced for about $50 plus shipping and import costs.
Can't do a link on my phone, but he's active on SFFN forums and has a shop site.

I do hate the fcuked-up 24 pin cable on the Corsair SF series and I'm seriously considering dropping a £100 for custom length cables got the 24pin and PCIE power. I saw the J-Hack vid and you gotta wonder what compromises you're making by replacing 24 wires with 7 of the same gauge.

Can you put an extra knob on it?
