I remember when Janspeed were the go to for exhaust upgrades. A friend had one on his Escort RS2000.

    From Demon Tweeks?

If 17 year old me had the money to spend on modifying my Ford Ka, I would have decimated that place and created an absolute abomination.

I used to get my Impreza exhausts made by Hayward & Scott. Nothing sounded better to my ears!

Sitting here trying to think of all the 90s car scene exhaust brands though. I've forgotten most of the big ones:

    Janspeed
    Burton
    Magnaflow
    Magnex

Any more from the pages of Fast Ford? :)

Demon Tweeks are less than a mile from where I'm sitting right now.

Full Pico Big Bore 4 made even my asthmatic 1600 Astra sound excellent.

I believe Janspeed were an independent tuning firm in those days, around 35 years ago.

A long time ago I had a Fiat Uno 55S. When the tailpipe fell off the local tyre and exhaust shop welded on one they had lying around with a bigger bore. That made a nice Italian rasp and cost me a few quid.

Aside from one USB charger (to use as a constant PSU) and a couple of cables I now have everything to make my rear speaker solution wireless.

    A stomach-churningly expensive 6TB...

As a spare, as it seems to be increasingly difficult to source 4KN SATA drives, and I don't want to be SOL in the event of a failure in the NAS. That'll teach me for opting for 4KN over 512E for kicks and giggles.

Still peanuts compared to buying that much storage in SSDs.

True that. Just stings that while the prices of garden variety NAS drives has continued to drop in price over the months, these 4KN enterprise drives are almost exactly what I paid for the original tranche 16 months ago.

And I would never bother with having a spare disk at all if dwindling availability didn't mean sourcing a new replacement quickly would be a challenge if I ever need it.
