Just ordered this... foolishly sold my Zoom H4 a while back and don't need anything quite so extravagant. Look forward to making some videoz with sound!

    Update
The TRN cable has a bad connection some where that causes the left channel to cut out. Not sure if it is at the 3.5mm connector or the MMCX. I have tested it with my SE535s and SE215s. I should return and see if I got a bad unit, but that means leaving the house... Plus I leaning towards exchanging it for a second Basn cord.

The more I've used the Basn the more I am liking them over the TRN cord, notably the 3.5mm connect. My initial issue of the Basn cord stiffness is no longer an issue. Not sure if the insulation has softened or I was just being overly judgemental.

Time to sort the loft and the wiring. Right now there is a immensely long cable going up there to a light bulb. That's it. Thankfully I can use that wire to set these up.

    Two 45w 5ft lights.

Got this to get the power up there, and give me the outlets I need for now.

    10m.

Got this to keep my Blackberry powered on whilst I am up there for music etc.

    these

And that should do it for now. My aim is to get the phone connected to Wifi, then connect that to this which will either go on the fire brick wall or the beams somewhere.

I originally bought it for £50 as a set of rear speakers for my cinema rig, but that isn't happening right now obs. I sound tested it, and loved how it sounds so yeah, that will be my entertainment up there. Just need a screen small enough to fit through the loft hatch now lol.

    @Vault-Tec - you turnin' the loft into a man-cave?

Don't forget a fan, mate... gonna get f***in' warm up there.

Oh good idea, I forgot how hot my loft gets (although it has a couole of velux windows)

    Could do with airflow though.

Yeah. My cousin and I floored it last year dude. Well, and reinforced all of the joists I intend to walk on because they were quite thin. We doubled up most of them, so they are super strong now, then floored it out.

We were supposed to wall it out in 6mm ply (because I want it to look and smell like a ramp park) but he ended up working down in London so that was delayed. I locked it up last September and didn't open again until last week.

But yeah the plan eventually is to skin the whole lot in ply. Floors and all. Right now though I just need some more function.. As for the heat? yeah totally. I won't go up there until 1am or later though dude. And it's only to build bikes, so I do that late when it's cooled down. Well, and when I need to get up there to get stuff down to work on.

That area will take 7. Which reminds me, I need to order more bike stands as I have two to be assembled and put next to those lol. IIRC that area is 3mx3m, and the area I work in which is floored also is the same.

But yeah, for right now I really need those two bikes (finished but had to come apart to go up) built and out of the way. I also like to go up there and just sit there for a while. It's really relaxing just me and the bikes :)

Nice, gotta love a good patch or two. I wish my bag had come with more loop field area. I have to chop and change them around. Current bits are:

Dropped one of the case hinge screws between the boards in the shed, despite having a myriad of screws from all sorts of stuff, didn't have any that were right as need a countersunk head. So, some M3.5 Nickel Plated Phillips Countersunk Flat Head Machine Screws were ordered to replace all the them. Probably best to get rid of the black ones anyway. They would have looked out of place as all those black rivets will be gone soon :naughty:

I've already got a large rusty battered screw. She's sitting right next to me :worried:

Had to order a cheap new charging dock for my watch. Hopefully, it's the dock that's bricked, not the watch itself!

I know it's probably rubbish, and the 1700MB/s max throughput means it would gimp a bunch of SSDs. However, it will mean ten storage devices running off a Mini-ITX server, without using the PCIE 16x slot that I need for my 10gig NIC - I just HAVE to try it. I need to play with things like this.

Look, I have a problem, I know. Stop judging me.
