Finally killed my Smok Species after it was dropped and run over :sigh:
So a new Smok to take its place, really not a fan of the new tanks with mesh atties, so I'll crack on with my old big baby tanks.

(actually bought last week but won't arrive till febuary)
Grabbed one of these standing desk as for the money it seems great! Plus it has build in charging ports and wireless charging (I don't need them currently, but still a nice addition!). It with the 1800x800 top was less that £200 inncluding shipping! Itss 70kg capacity is a little lower but not too far off moster other 2 or 3 times its price, and it has memory too! Really hoping its as good as it seems!

Cheers, mate. Just ordered two as well. One for myself, one for my fiancée, both with the size upgrade. :thumb:

We have now paid less for two desks than we would for one (of the same expected quality) in Germany.

Yeah. They're on a different source atm but yup, they sound like my grado.

There are lots of rumours that the drivers are the same on many models. What I did notice was...

RS2E hand stitched leather headband, SR80E pleather. Though this works for me being bald and sweaty head.

RS2E double wired cable. So two wires per connection. SR80E single wire. However the RS cables are so thick they've driven me nuts.

RS2E lathed mahogany cups with steel mesh. SR80E all plastic.

So tbh I would imagine that most of the £400 markup is down to the materials. The wood cups do sound better than plastic, I can genuinely say that.

Oh and the pads on the SR80E are horrid too.

Oh yeah one more difference. When you look into the RS2E they don't have a button in the middle, so they anodized small covers for the magnets... This is an original pic.

So I did the next best thing lol.

Right, given it's "Shove a broom in my bum and I will sweep the floor" time at the moment I decided to go ham. And tackle everything that is annoying me.

First I am *SICK* of the Bluetooth TX RX. It continually falls out of sync and then the whole thing sounds like a DJ who can't match beats. When it works it's great, but it doesn't more than it does.

    Got two single pattress boxes.

And 6 metres of QED bi wire.

I'm not bi wiring of course, it's just a much cleaner solution to having two cables dangling around in there. I will cable pin it up inside the crawl space. I've also bought this.

All I need now is another amp and a centre speaker. A proper one that doesn't keep needing turning on and turning up. For that I want Dynaudio. But that will take some saving.

Time to get some projects back off the ground...

    Dremel drill press

Replacement Dremel collects so I can use smaller bits

Safety glasses, because the Dremel 3000 spins things at 35,000 RPM - things that are designed to cut metal. My days of being cavalier about eye protection are long gone!!

Type-C hub/breakout, because my 2-in-1 laptop/tablet is going to become a recording machine until I get a decent(ish) video camera

Aye they are really good. Especially, I would imagine, in a press.

    That looks tempting.
Odd that the shipping calculator shows $0 for anywhere in the world though?!?

Yeah, same here. I did buy stuff directly from Hong Kong before with free shipping. Might be the same idea here: produce cheap, price accordingly, sell tons of the stuff, make a profit because of economics of scale.

We got one of these Fridgemasters last year
    [IMG]

Been very happy with it. Well as happy as you can be with a fridge.

Jeez, just looked online - prices gone up a bit :eeek:
