Anything North of Oxford is North. I am not north of Oxford.

In fact, I am not even North of Oxford Street

Replacement tyre pressure sensor, plus nebulous "diagnostics" that apparently need to be carried out when someone brings you a car and says "the passenger-side rear tyre pressure sensor needs replacing," £260. Ouch.

We really, really need to stop taking it to the main dealer...

Just had to replace a load of tyres here, 4 new winter tyres for the BMW (this region is now classed as mountainous and requires proper winter tyres), 2 new tyres for the horse trailer and 4 new tyres plus wheels for the muck trailer as the old tyres were recycled aeroplane tyres that are currently hard to get. Lets just I'd have been very happy with a bill of £260.

Laura's X-Trail (you can buy one for less than the price of four tyre pressure sensors) needed two tyres, instead I've fitted four A/Ts and I'm planning to go offroading on Salisbury Plain at some point. I haven't told her and so far she hasn't noticed :worried:

I would need more of them, but I don't have the space. Collecting books is a very space-intensive hobby.

Taken a punt on a “used - acceptable” Amazon Warehouse IPad Pro, M1 11” 256gb

“Cosmetic imperfections” “ Missing non essential accessories”… here’s to hoping that like most of my warehouse purchases it’s brand new with a few marks on the box but otherwise mint, in spite of the description, as for £600 it would be a real bargain.

I've been playing with it over the past week, and I've got it to sound exactly as I want it to now. Deep, creamy bottom out thocks, and well balances, smooth stabilisers. I'll post up a sound test later... maybe in the mech keyboards thread though.

Surely you can't use like half of its features if you only use optical though? Aren't things like Atmos EARC only?

A few physical games for my "retro" machines:

£27 all in from CeX (£9 of which was the two Halo games). Don't mind that vs eBay.

Also curse Red Faction for being the only game which has the spine reversed.....

    Possibly but not sure.

Either way I will be sorting it all out fairly soon though, as I am going to look at a new TV within the next 3 or 4 months so can cope for now.

Still sounds better though than the TV speakers or the old soundbar.

Well it is a game about rebellion.

Quake 4 holds the distinction of being the only game to ever make me throw up. You'll know the bit when you get to it.
