That's nuts! Mine of that size comes in Thursday, though US outlets don't carry as much. You going dual socket as well?

@KayinBlack I noticed the cap for the lower input rating, though 1100W is still mad considering the size of the unit.

I'm planning on using it for electronics projects - I was lucky enough to bag it on ebay for £10, which is penauts for this kind of tech (and power) and I've been on the lookout for a cheap PSU for a while now. Did pretty well, I'd say!

My new workstation has mine. Dual socket 2011. Part of why I got from that seller was fast processors with the larger psu. The other was price.

Now I just need 14x8GB DDR3 and a good video card.

I got three 8x10" sheets of genuine Veroboard on ebay for £16 shipped. Been several years since I've worked on the genuine stuff, and OH BOI is it streets ahead of the competition. It's very obvious that the quality (or purity) of the copper traces is unmatched. An absolute joy to work with.

I’d take over specced every time, when you NEED to stop in a hurry.

I know, but it has the added benefit of making my junk look almost adequate.
