I'll be grabbing that on the PS4 at some point. I've got the original on PC, but the chances are that I'll want to play the sequel before it's released on PC. I need to finish all the DLC & collectible stuff in the first game though!

Nice, pretty sure these are the exact same jeans I have. They're really handy, I wear them pretty much every time I'm on the bike. They're not exactly waterproof, but that's nothing a second layer of waterproofs can't fix.

So after breaking my own rule of buy cheap buy twice, getting a Candy heat pump dryer for £270 just over a year ago, its broken down twice now outside of the 1 year warranty. First break down i fixed myself, but then it crapped it self one week later.
So no longer willing to spend any more time or money on cheap crap i doubled the budget and got what i feel is a much better/more reliable brand Beko heat pump dryer with 2 years warranty this time.

Will never buy Candy/Hotpoint again (same brand)

Got a beko condser dryer not long after moving into this house, maybe 4 years ago. Not had any problems with it. Got a 2nd hand beko dishwasher that hasn't skipped a beat so far an I think our cooker is theirs too. All good bits of kit you can tell come out the same factory as some other more expensive brands

Hotpoint is a Whirlpool brand. Candy is Chinese, I think.

[Edit] yep, based in Italy, but the parent company is Haier, a Chinese firm

And Beko is owned by a Turkish company no?

Edit: I've found the most reliable things I've owned have been German.

If my memory serves me correct, Beko do a lot of more industrial electronics too. They don’t just do white goods and stuff.

Does it strut into the steam room and throw down a towel to claim the bench?

Got a (ridiculously large) Haier fridge/freezer and only had one issue with it, in that the drain pipe blocked so water started pooling at the bottom of the fridge - one phone call to the service dept and boom engineer out the following week and fixed. No complaints here.

TBH, we only went with Haier as Bosch (our usual "white goods" go-to) didn't do what we wanted...

You pays your money and takes your chances, I went cheap on a washing machine and got Kenwood, it's still going strong after 4 - 5 years.
I'd love a new fridge freezer, but this bloody Whirlpool one is still keeping cheesecake & beers cool after 20 years, so it stays until it does die

    reduce reuse recycle.
If it works and does what you want. Why add more to consumerism.

It's why I like to buy better second hand gear if I can, tends to last longer and it's less landfill.
