Would you mind reporting back how you get on? I only discovered this was a thing recently, and while it’s a low investment to try it out (already have a PSVR2), I don’t actually have much to speak of in terms of a PC capable of doing VR stuff, which raises that bar considerably.

Will do. Reports on reddit seem to indicate the two controllers can have issues when bluetooth pairing, so the setup can be a bit of a faff. Once it's sorted it works very well. With the oled screens and bump up in resolution and fov, I'm looking for a hopefully crisper display than a Quest 2. Must admit though, I'm looking forward to playing Horizon Call of the Mountain and GT7.

OK so an update on the CBD flower and hash. Fookin love it. IDK why, but I am getting quite high when I smoke it. Not like, totally monged out, but certainly a very warming relaxed feeling. This is most notable when I roll a neat weed joint with hash in.

However, what I do not like at all is how harsh the weed is. Which is a shame, as it is way more effective than the hash. So instead of buying the cheapest tat I could get my hands on I got this.

    That is CBD crystals.

TBH with the £5 off it was only £29 shipped for a quarter which is only about £3 more than the other one I got. I've not been doing it every day as yeah I think I would do nothing all day, but every few days I have a joint. I also totally did not realise how little of it I would actually go through. I am only about 1/2 way through the weed and have only just opened the 7g of mango kush hash I got. Meaning I have used just over 3.5g of weed and 2g of hash in an entire month.

So it is also a lot fookin cheaper than I first thought too. Like, less than my coffee habit ffs.

The first hour is quite intense tbh. Like, wanting to go to sleep. Then after that it lasts for about 3 more hours of just feeling chilled and quiet. Ver nice.

Finally SATA SSDs are falling in price again after a big spike. A spike that took place when I emptied my bays of small little drives /roll eyes. So this has taken about 18 months rather than the 18 days I preferred.

Twelve. I am going ham, fully loaded. The great thing is they were less than 40 a pop, but, I got an additional 5% off for buying 12. So it was like, 448 or something for 12 drives. Not bad tbh. Talking of the server....

Ever since I built it it has been making a god awful racket now and then. I thought it was things going into the fans, it wasn't. I forgot that my hot swap bays have 40mm fans in the back. And they are crap, cheap fans that drone and rub. So, whilst I am there, 3 of these.

And lastly, but most important of all...

Quest 3 512MB. Have wanted to upgrade from my Rift S for some time and bit due to the price drop.

    Well fug.

I have been running Arctic slim fans in my server since day 0. They're crap. Mostly as they are flimsy, so like to catch the holes I cut. This did not happen with the thicker fans I had in there. I was due to replace both any way, but today when I tore the server down for upgrades I realised one was actually dead.

I got two of those. They intake the air. The server runs for up to two weeks at a time, and clearly that was too long for cheap crappy fans to handle. I also decided whilst in there to do it properly so got one of these for the cooler.

I was also extremely pissed when I realised that the 40mm fans I bought are 24v. FFS. It was less aggro to buy a buck booster for £8 and run them from that. It turns 12v into 24.

Good news is it works very well. The 40mm fans were not noisy at all, but they include low noise adapters so now they are even less offensive.

Blimey. Looks like I literally caught this before I lost 1tb of music.

Also. I am loathe to throw away my Huntsman Elite over some shiny key caps. Looks like Razer do Pudding caps now, so £29.

Will be my spare board now.

I might have accidentally a Lenovo P350 tiny. I might go full beast and grab a A4000 SFF and a LP custom cooler. If swmbo is in an accommodating mood.

Currently pissed and in a floating nightclub, but that might be the best time to get her approval.

She does like alcohol and a dance to bassy shite music.

I’m tempted to try it on roasties. The yankees don’t do roasties so I’m wondering how it would be.

They also do a new lemon one I must try too.

Another of my habits picked up in the USA. Crab and old bay pizza. I used to get it at Ocean City NJ every time I went, which was a a lot.

Didn't manage to get a vanity PS5 pro (even though I would have actually used it and not scalped it), but did grab a minor consolation prize this morning when the preorders popped.

I've used the normal one on potatoes wedges in the air fryer and they were great. There's a spicy one too, Mrs Crap used that one a cod, leek & potato tray bake and it was so good. Sounds really weird but really worked.

Bought 2 dehumidifiers. A little one to go in the hole under the stairs to keep the damp in check

Tiny thing that'd fit any cabin luggage size restrictions, but has all the features; hepa filter, charcoal filter and ionisor to try and keep the musty smell in check.

We've got a dimplex 10L/day one we borrowed from my mum and age ago she wants back, that normally fills it's bucket by morning run periodically through the day and overnight. I had both running simultaneously and both filled their tank in about 16hours. I had planed on getting a Meaco Arete Two 12L to replace the borrowed dimplex, but is out of stock everywhere and if both 10L and 5L a day can have their full thought better get a higher rated one:

Has all the bells and whistles and should be a darn sight quieter than the dimplex

Another PSVR2 as the first one I bought used and expected signs of wear, but it looked in pretty good nick, apart from the lead from the headset to the PS5 looked like it had been used as a skipping rope. Unfortunately though, the display in the headset kept glitching out, like a black screen with a line of white static every few minutes. It didn't help that when it arrived, it was all squashed into a box with little to no padding. Deary me. So that one's going back and a new one is on its way. When it was kinda working, despite glitching, my goodness, the sheer clarity - particularly Kayak VR - is really impressive. I hadn't got as far as using the pcvr adapter as I didn't want any 'big' experiences to be marred by the glitching.
Also, I found my old Nikon 18-55 kit lens while doing a lot of sorting through stuff over the past couple of weeks, so part-exchanged for a Fuji telephoto lens through MPB.

Yep. Check the instructions that come with it, it should tell you how long to pre-heat it for. I pre-heat mine at full whack for a minimum of 1 hour before use.

Also, they usually recommend against washing these things. The risk is that water gets into small cracks or pores, and if it doesn’t fully dry out it can risk the stone ‘exploding’ in the oven when you heat it. Just scrape off any errant cheese, toppings, etc, and the pre-heating should be more than enough to kill off bacteria and other nasty shizz.

That’s what the instructions with mine recommended. It’s a solid ol’ lump, got to be at least half an inch thick, maybe more.

It’s a rather large thermal mass, but you want it as hot as you can possibly get it. A traditional pizza oven is north of 300 C, and most domestic ovens probably top out around 250. A nice big thermal mass that’s piping hot - and stays piping hot - helps keep the temperatures up and helps cook pizza bases better.

Just make sure you give it a couple of hours to cool off when you’re done

Ah right, I was expecting more like 5mm; does it make a welcome difference on a cheap pizza?
