I don't like spending too much on phones, need a better camera on my ageing Nokia 7.2 so just picked up an old Pixel7a.

Well, brand new, but old now what with them being on the ninth iteration. Security updates until 2028 so that'll do me.

    £210 including a compulsory £10 PAYG SIM.

    That'll do.

Nice. I got a 7a around Easter time for just under £300 and it's been great. It replaced my 4a and while it's not infinitely better, the camera is very good and wireless charging is nice to have too.

Good to know, thanks for that. :thumb:

Yeah, I think for around two hundred smackers I couldn't really find a better camera.

I never need the best but it seems like more than enough phone for me for a few years.

Ordered 32GB DDR5 5600 C48 SODIMM for the MS-01, from CEX - yes, the memory stick lottery... although, more often than not I usually receive Crucial sticks when I buy from CEX.

A pair of Corsair Vengeance 16GB sticks for half the new listed price - which is a bargain, I'lll admit. Seriously though, the branding - "Tuned for max speed", until you go check out some memory benchmarks and find out it's consistently higher latency and lower throughput than most competing brands. No wonder I intensely dislike most Corsair RAM - medicore kit masquerading as high end parts.

Thankfully, the MS-01 doesn't need anything beyond 5200 MT/s, so I'll take the bargain win and quit grumbling. For now.

That's it. No more shiny kit this year.

I'm very tempted by one of these but they are just a little pricey! My ramshackle of a local AI server is going to become a permanent fixture and this would be ideal.

Can also confirm that the new Mario Party Jamboree is excellent, one for a birthday perhaps :)

Runs pretty quiet with the stock cooler - I'm fairly impressed. They are eye-wateringly expensive though.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen then for less than £1300. I got a good deal on a 4060Ti 16GB earlier this year and that'll do the job nicely for now.

A Ninja Creami and a Ninja Speedi, each under £100 as Argos has a 35% off code for each, and the Speedi was an extra £10 off. Lots of fun for when I move into my new flat! Also, a big Amazon order of decorating PPE, which makes me look like I'm about to cook come crystal! Again, for when I get keys to me flat!

Had a moment of weakness after a tough week at work. Time to ditch VA and IPS and get on the OLED train . Helped by 20% off right now (plus another 5% through work voucher scheme)
