    4. Yes, it is compatible with 11-28V 8.2A (100W Max) panels
    5. Anker Solix C300 - not the cheaper C300 DC variant - that one does not have the AC output sockets

[edit] Looks like the 20% has expired but there is still a 10% discount available on eBay.

Yes but, unfortunately, it is £60 off the MSRP of £270. It is, or was, possible to get it for under £200 shipped on eBay.

Had a month iRacing trial to see what the fuss was all about. Enjoyed it but decided to wait until after PC upgrade to look at subscription options. Found that if you sub to one of the many eSport organisations some chuck in 1 year iRacing (new accounts only). So that's basically £27.99 for the year. Think that's the cheapest I've seen.

Interesting, any links to the one you've joined? I'm thinking of trying a bit more sim racing over winter this year

It was a bit of a faff. Create a 'free' account then add a paid eSports memebership afterwards going through some menus in your profile. An activation email was sent. Then once confirmed a code for iRacing was sent within two hours.

A pair of tickets to see sumo at the RAH in October, hopefully will help me get even more hype for eventually watching it live in Japan!

Brilliant, I nearly got tickets, but me and Mrs Krikkit are going back in September next year, so I thought I'd save it until then. When are you thinking you'll go? Happy to offer some pointers if you like.

Yeah really happy when they announced it, my dad went when they originally came over September 1990 (almost couldn't as a certain GeorgeStorm had an arrival date around that time but luckily I was late I think) and so going with him this time will be really great hopefully.
If we weren't planning on going to Japan and watching it there my wife would have probably joined for the RAH, but since we are planning it she said she'll pass as she's not quite as keen as me!

My wife and I wanted it to be our honeymoon in theory, but we've just had our 2nd anniversary so not sure it can be classed as a honeymoon anymore :D so damn expensive it seems that life has annoyingly got in the way up to now.

For me the only requirements are going in an odd month for the obvious reason, and I think maybe spring/autumn as have heard summer can be very humid and winter a bit chilly but yes would be more than happy to have some pointers as at this rate we'll never do it as other stuff keeps getting pushed above it.

Life does tend to get in the way! FWIW it's not an expensive place to visit after you've paid for the flights. Everything is cheap (and not just because of the exchange rate, but it does help) - food is fantastic everywhere, accommodation surprisingly reasonable even in central Tokyo if you're not after a palace.

We went for sakura last year (end of March/beginning of April) and it was fantastic, but because that's the first hint of spring a lot of the plant life is still hibernating.

Winter just about everywhere south of Hokkaido is relatively mild by our standards, but they can occasionally have cold snaps which bring quite a bit of snow etc. That said, Tokyo and the more southern regions will be warm enough year-round.

If you want some more specific stuff when planning hit me up, I can give you the broad strokes, hotels etc, even restaurants around the usual tourist traps that we tried and are good. :)

But, most important, don't listen to the online advice about it being unfriendly, or difficult, to travel alone in Japan. With Google Translate, a few simple Japanese phrases to break the ice and some manners you won't have any trouble.

4 new tyres for my car (been having far too much fun in it!) - Michelin CrossClimate 2, being fitted after work tomorrow.

I'd like to know how they affect your fuel consumption - mine made it 10-15% worse.

I've run them for years on my Civic's, maybe lost 5-10% in fuel efficiency.
Daughter runs them on her Mini with no real noticeable loss.
Wife runs them on her Skoda estate company car (when the lease company will pay for them), no idea as the fuel is paid for.

The improved safety in wet and cold weather more than offsets the small loss in fuel efficiency I get, but I live out in the country where roads being salted can be wishful thinking, plus that the tyres last forever before wearing down is also a big big plus for us

I was really happy with the original CC, in every regard, and the CC2 have been just as good in the wet and slippery conditions but the fuel economy was abysmal.

I agree that there is a difference in economy between CC and CC2's, I'd not call it abysmal, maybe because I always over inflate them a touch I'm not seeing such a bad drop off.

Cheers I'll pop you a PM, to be fair it's not something we've really looked at in detail yet as everytime we've had a quick look at sites in the past thinking just wasn't viable at the time seeing £5k+ for a couple of weeks, we have since realised it most likely makes sense to do things ourselves vs via a company, just haven't had to for a while as our last couple of holidays have been via TUI due to price and basically not having to do anything involving faff!

    Edit:
Also to stay on topic, finally picked up a case for my build, Jonsbo TK-1 2.0 black, never had a case with window or in that style before but so many of them are massive so this seemed like a nice mix of trying something new/a bit different (to me) but also keeping things fairly small.

Having got fed up with constantly knocking the vape bottles and pops over, found someone on Etsy who made stands for them and got them to knock me up a custom one to fit into my desk-tidy, along with a couple of cases to keep spares in on the move.
