I have been using a Fiio E12A IEM amplifier for years to run my Etymotic earphones and it made a huge difference. The Fiio player that I use is pretty capable and has a pretty decent amp in it, but not a patch on having a separate one with the extra power that the E12A can push.

What started off as "watercool the GPU for as little as possible" had evolved into a mini-mod with the budget already blown, so might as well watercool everything :hehe:
    Screenshot_20250919-134617.png

Plus 6 more 13/10 fittings, a few 90 and 45 elbows, a medley of 3/4/5-way Tee fittings for the GPU to make a parallel loop in a slightly different way than normal, some more epdm tubing and some stainless steel braiding to go on it. This is after getting 2more DDC's and a dual pump top, which I'm hoping I can attach to the watercool mount somehow.

Oh and a new mouse, Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED in white, currently £84 on amazon

Nothing better to spend money on things that give you pleasure mate. :thumb:

Though not sure how that will fly if that's the excuse I give if my OH finds me with a latex clad dominatrix.

I hate the usual latex glove as my hands sweat like crazy in them. There's going to be a lot of bare metal and don't want smudgey fingerprint rust all over them.:nono:

And the gloves were only £1.30 :lol:

Edit: should have known I'd end up on full custom again :hehe:

I've joined the 3D printer club with an Elegoo Centauri Carbon. Bonkers that you can something like thie for £300 now. Already printed SSD holders, battery holders, a stand for my beard trimmer and extra bits for the printer itself. Got a few things around the house that I need to fix that this will help with as well. It will pay itself off in no time!

    In order:
No. In the right places. Not given it a full run out yet, will get back to you.

Looks like the filament switcher they've promised for it this quarter is delayed until late next quarter. Probably revealing it at the FormNEXT show in Frankfurt mid-November.

I didn't realise this was apparently coming until after I'd made the purchase so that was a nice surprise.

The web page for the printer has said "Available in Q3 2025" for it ever since the printer launched.

    https://uk.elegoo.com/products/centauri-carbon

Scroll down to the grey & red mecha.

Had a few hours on it.

Can't discern any lumps and my backside is substantially less numb than being on the chair alone.
