Dell outlet prices have not (yet) been subject to the same price hike, so have grabbed one from there.
Minor "issue" being that you get what you get in terms of specs depending on which models are there... so have way more laptop than I really planned to get (275HX, 64GB, 2TB SED, 5070).

I don't think I'll even touch the sides of 64GB so in light of the current crisis I'll probably list on classifieds to P/X for 32GB to recoup a few quid since it was more than I had planned to spend as well. I don't need a SED either, but don't expect that's similarly valuable to others to be worth swapping for a vanilla NVME.

Unless of course Dell cancels the order and cranks the price by £600 for this one too.

Everyone is upping prices due to the AI component hoarding, so best prices are for old things that were priced prior to this.

I've just noticed they've increased the price on all the outlet models as well.
My order has been confirmed and is currently "processing", hope they don't pull a corsair on me.

A workmate bought that and the millennium falcon from AliExpress. Not official Lego but practically indistinguishable from the real thing, beyond the little lego logos on each brick.

Isn’t there a risk the DVLA decides it is “inappropriate” down the line and takes it out of circulation, IIRC replacing it with a standard plate and leaving you out of pocket?

A bit of a daft and very much an impulse buy:
Cobra DS Adapt LS Driver 9° Denali black stiff shaft (snigger)

Yes, my shoulder is shagged and operation is impending, so I won't be able to hit it with great vengeance and furious anger until I'm well into my rehab, BUT.....:worried:

It was a bargain at £285 brand spanking new, for a club that only came out 12month ago for £470. I had been looking at a ping g425 sft, which is a few years old now, but one in good nick and in the right spec isn't that much cheaper and new still goes for £300. Mrs crap has taken to golf recently and we're currently spec'ing out her clubs, she has been using my clubs and really likes my current driver, which I've never got on with, so she gets that and I get new shiny. It was also mygolfspy's best driver for mid swing speeds 2025, I've had a couple of Cobra drivers in the past and loved them, so... :worried::eyebrow::naughty::hehe:

Some water protective sheets for the bed. Our elderly cat keeps taking a leak on the bed. I have had to wash our duvet more times than I care to mention in the last week.

Very nice, I have recently taken up golf (driving range for about 2 years and joined a club last spring). I suck but I have got the golf bug! I went with a 2nd hand (but essentially brand new) Wilson Dynapower Carbon (this one: https://www.affordablegolf.co.uk/pr...J8dkaR1zWhJwR1KQn1gXydmt-NlJrvjBoCQI4QAvD_BwE) for about £200 which made my driving sooo much more consistent than with my previous, but much older, mizuno driver.

Its now my most consistent club which isn't saying much for me but it is unusual for a driver. I will continue to grind my iron swing so that I stop thinning or fatting the god damn ball (I'm an early extender).

Good luck with your black stiff shaft!

I've generally bought all my clubs second hand, prior driver was Wilson d7, because even 10 years ago new was pretty pricey but now it's gone a bit mental, not to dissimilar to top end Nvidia gpus. My Wilson d7 Forged irons had barely been used (the 5 iron still had plastic wrapping on) and got for £240, which was an absolute bargain. Think my wedges were new but 2 year old models so not too expensive, putter was really cheap as really old model that I'd had before and loved.

If you haven't had any lessons yet, do, really makes a marked difference. You can sometimes find pretty cheap group sessions, there's golf England's Get Into Golf which got me started again.

Mrs crap found golf through work. When her team are on lates they will sometimes meet up at a driving range near the station for a breakfast and a few hits, she's ended up enjoying that and got persuaded onto a little par 3 course, hit the green off the first tee and was instantly hooked. She's got quite a natural knack for it, when I showed her a set of irons that might be good for her she said "oh but will they feel nice like yours?" when I asked what she meant, she said sometimes at the range when she hasn't robbed mine, she'll just use her friend's bats, but they're a bit wobbly and just don't feel as nice when you strike one. :eyebrow: The woman already knows she likes a stiffer shaft and forged irons. Just gotta keep her engaged with it till I can get back on the course with her.

Already had a set of 6 lessons last winter/spring which helped identify some bad habits - I've taken the summer to see what natural progression I could make (which was marked with on course practice coming down from rounds in the 120's being generous with drops etc, to 100's being fairly strict). I do feel like I've plateaud with respect to irons so need to book some more in when the weather cheers up.
