    Yeh can definitely spend too much time at the range, especially for irons which are really forgiving on the mats. I did similar thing, standard with a few real basic sessions at a local pitch and putting, moved to the range for a rotation, played a bunch of rounds all of which were sky high but improved pretty quickly once I'd reigned in my "I'm tiger woods" mentality. Got some nice 2nd hand Titleist ap1's that were on sale in the shop at my local course, first round was a blistering (and still personal best) 14over*, but seemed to fall apart quite quickly after.

    Went back for more lessons, quickly identified I'd fudged my grip up, probably to counter the new irons having midsize grips (did not even know there were different thicknesses), so a re-grip and rotation later I was back in low 90s-high 80's.

    *Should be noted that this was at Warley Woods, a very short 9-hole municipal that you go round twice.

    It's main defences are tight fairways, hilly af, greens the size of bunkers, and very little rough before you hit thicket from where balls don't return. I swear the only reason I shot that low was leaving the driver in the bag most holes in favour of my new 4 iron, only losing 1 ball the entire round :hehe:

    If I'm doing video content now, I want to make it as easy as possible!

    (Yeah, I know there's a Mic 2 in the Creator Bundle already, but I need two mics and the two-pack of Mic Minis plus charging case and receiver for if I need to use 'em with my phone, desktop, laptop, DSLR, whatever is cheaper than a second Mic 2 plus receiver. Could always flog the Mic 2, I guess?)

    You seem to have forgotten to buy yourself an Apple macbook or 50 series adorned lappy to do all video production on the go (something like my Gram is perfect only a 5050 but 90Wh battery and big screen but not back breaking heavy), video production, surely all the excuse one needs to man maths a buy of new hardware no? :D

    I've only just put a new battery in my old 2C4T Dell XPS, I ain't buying a new laptop!

    (Also part of agreeing to do this was that I just send 'em the raw footage and they handle the editing. I'm no fool!)

    Now, am I also looking at replacing the Nikon D3200 that's served me well over lo these many years? ...maybe.

    Quickly donning my camera anorak Gareth... if your budget allows do go for a higher tier of Nikon DX DSLR.

    From memory, the D3x00 cameras has small low magnification viewfinders which made them less eye friendly than the D5x00 and most definitely the D7x00 cameras.
    The trouble these days, is finding somewhere that has stuff you can look at. 'Proper' camera shops are few and far between now.

    I had a D7000, which was a bit basic for video, the later models are better all round.

    The mirrorless bandwagon has caught up with me, and I'm very happy with NikonZ, but that doesn't mean that DSLRs are anly less useful in many use cases.

    I have been able to enter the all encompassing rabbit hole of lens adaptation which wasn't possible with a DSLR, keep away if you value your sanity!

    Yeah, it was a Z I was looking at - the Z fc, with the FTZ adapter for my old lenses. I'll put up (another!) gear thread in the photography sub when I get a chance...

    Noice, I prefer the Z50 myself ergonomically; however the ZFc has a couple of benefits being newer, and a more video friendly flippy screen TBF.
    It also has that classic FM/FE look of the cameras I used in my youth.
    Coincidentally, I found our old Nikon FE2 in a drawer this morning while tidying some camera accs and brochure hoard :worried:

    Those are amazing! I have watched too many Sherp videos on YouTube :D

    Bournemouth was gridlocked last night by one lane of the dual carriageway out of town being underwater.

    50+ mins to do a 20 min run home, similar time for a friend coming the other way on a journey that's usually 12 mins

    After what fee likes a whole year just had notifcation my red magic phone shipped. Just want to find some good emulators for it never gamed on a phone but travelling and stuff this year so this is going to be a little entertaimment.

    And ordered some of the lego botanics for my sister her husband had major pollen allergies so thought these would be perfect
