I ran a single >$100 prompt today and I am thankful I am not paying the bill.

 

Leaving aside, for a moment, any discussion about the "merits" of "AI" or its impact on the IT market...

For a short time I was aghast at this, and was about to ask something along the lines of "what the hell was it doing, re-writing the lost Library of Alexandria?!"

But then I remembered that people have spent thousands of dollars in a few hours, and suddenly ">$100" doesn't sound so bad in comparison.

 

If they had access to the library of Alexandria they'd upload it all then destroy it like they have been with every other book they can get their hands on.

No matter how rare.

A large stack of donkey-work pertaining to market research, realistically would have taken me 3+ days (that I don't have) to compile (plus my sanity, 3 reeeeeeeealy dry days) and it was around 20 minutes.

So "good value", although I don't know how the bean-counters are monitoring/measuring usage and what their take is.

 

Finally picked up Cyberpunk 2077 & Phantom Liberty in the current Steam Sale for under £28 the pair. (current sale event ends 6pm Monday)

 

Think I'll be giving that another Christmas run through.

Took a little while to get into it but it completely hooked me in the end.

Then modded it and got hooked again

I think once I'm through with Red Dead 2 I'll pick this up . Building my own steam machine really got the gaming juices going again.

Youfibre 8000 is now on offer until the end of the month for £50/mnth, bargain, lots of bandwidth.

Need a lot of power to take advantage on the likes of Steam etc, but 150Gb down in no time, shame my Wifi caps out at about 3-4Gb.
