    A bottle of Glenlivet.

Technically, it was a 'thanks for being a good employee' gift, but hey. It's a purchase in my book.

4 x 1litre bottles of lucozade. Sainsburys have them at £1.49 bogof. So I naturally had to get 4.

Lucozade is the best if you are feeling run down/have a cold.

Also a santa spud, ie mr potato head with a beard and hat, £5

Black and white spray paint, white t-shirts, and an elastic band. Damn WalMart didn't have the one thing that I actually needed for this little oddity of a project - a large wooden bowl. Will have to hunt elsewhere for that :(

Got a ATI HD4850 on eBay for $56US. The seller had it listed as ATI PERFORMANCE VIDEO CARD and then a picture of it. The description was "new pull from gateway FX.". LOL

    Chrimbo pressie-tastic:

The Dance by Within Temptation for a little over a tenner delivered from the US, 2 signed copies of Bunny - The Book of Random for under 15 quid delivered, put a deposit down on a 7" digital photoframe for both my parents, and will be buying my grandfather a slab of Mann's beer.

Incidentally, anyone know how to change keyboard layouts on OSX 10.4? I've changed everything I can see over to British English, and yet every time I want to type @(Shift+2), I have to type "(Shift+') So I'm stuck on American settings, and its doing my noggin right in. Using a Logitech keyboard, cause i haven't got a Mac keyboard...

An $8 USB Multimedia Phillips keyboard from Buy.com with free shipping. It's even supposed to have special resistance to spills with drain holes built in. ;P

A Nokia 6500 Slide on the £15 300 mix and match contract with 3

Awesome phone, might be a bit crap compared to what some of the folks have here but it beats my 4 year old 6200 or whatever it is hands down.

Just need a 4 gig MicroSD card so I can watch heroes and stuff on it when I'm bored at work.

Any recomendations on a better way to convert videos than the PC suite? The videos seem a little choppy in places, could just be the phone though.

    Umm, shouldn't Shift+2 give you " and Shift+' give you @. Or have I mis-understood?

    Not on Macs.

m0o0oeh: As far as I know that difference is a Windows vs OS X difference rather than a localization difference. I'd be stunned if there wasn't a little software hack somewhere on the tubes that let you do it, but a bit of googling didn't come up with anything - your results may vary. Personally, I got used to it very quickly, but it is annoying if you switch between windows and os x often, as you get it wrong an awful lot.
