    Yep.

Today I spent 50 quid visiting China's Army Weapons Research Shooting Range just outside of Beijing and got to fire my first real gun, or should I say guns.

Was a nice selection to choose from so I picked the AUG Steyr and the Type 79 Sniper Rifle. My wife picked a revolver where her Dad picked an AK-47.

It was quite an experience firing a real gun and the Sniper rifle had one hell of a kick, Hit my head with the scope several times from the blow back. I didnt do too bad with 50% of my rounds hitting the 10 points while the other 50% were hitting the 9 points.

I may have to go back and try the rocket launcher :) or morter :)

You might want to resize those pics - I think 3872*2592 is more than enough to give us an impression of what they looked like! :p

OT: That sounds like a great experience to me - did you receive any training in how to use it, or was it just a case of "Put it to your shoulder hard, point down the range and fire. Oh, never point it at me."

No training, just point and shoot. However if you want training then its going to cost more. It was very busy and only recently open to foreigners after the olympics. Before that it was Chinese only. I needed to show my passport before they would let me near any guns :)
