An Asus P5Q Pro Turbo to replace my POS(Point of Sale) P5N-E SLi which finally died on me, well the NIC did and I fancied a new one, so rather than a 5 dollar NIC card off ebay, new mobo.
And some good old AS 5 for the HSF.

I've really missed spending money on my computer.

Cree's are XRE and the drivers are just cheap DX ones for the moment, I built a very simple head light last year that worked fairly well for road use but i've got my mountain bike now so its upgrade time. Thinking pair set up a 5w with one or maybe a pair set up a 3w for climbing and road use. Doubt i'd have many friends on the road with 10w shining in drivers eyes.

Heat sinking is easy on a bike just have to remember to keep riding! Not sure on a housing yet either similar to the last one or a more of a bar set up with all the electronics on the bar and only use the bottle for the battery.

I looked at a taskled (?) but its nearly £40 delivered and kinda pushing it just now.

I wear skate shoes absolutely everywhere. I hate boots. I need the soles to flex alot. I wear some worn out Circas at work that should be replaced as i've almost completely worn through the bottom, but they are so comfortable even if I'm on my feet all day.

When I go out I wear my nice shoes. They are high top King skate shoes, red and black.

I need to get another pair of shoes for extra special times and keep them super clean. Maybe some white ones this time.

Sticky Date arrived while I was at Reading..

Its AWESOME.. I got a 17" one for a 15.6" laptop, purely becuase It just gives me so much space. This thing takes my laptop, in a neoprene sleeve, inside the Crumpler sleeve, inside the bag, along with mouse, external hdd, charger, A4 paper pad and file etc... Well worth it for £60.

The colour is called Oatmeal, and is actually rather nice.

I can't really say anything as my lappy's just as bad, if not worse, but what a fingerprint magnet the gloss black plastic is that laptop manufacturer's insist on using.

I have a slight malformation. My first rib on the right side is too close to my clavicle. Over the years they have been crushing an important vein, which is a 'return' vein that returns blood from the arm, to the lungs to re-oxygenate the blood. These past 3-4 years I have been carrying a bag with a shìtload of stuff into it. It always weighed, at the very minimum, 50lb. Everyone thought it was ridiculous but I always had everything I needed with me, which was cool.
It was so heavy though, it squeezed the vein I mentioned above. It squeezed it to the point of creating a 10cm long blood clot which blocked the vein completely, resulting in a slow death for my arm, which we saved, thankfully.

The lesson I learned is that it doesn't matter how much space your bag has, it's all about the weight. It may not hurt when you carry something heavy. It didn't hurt me. You could be surprised however how it can damage your body in the most unexpected place(s) !

    Just a little warning :thumb:

Awesome setup, pretty much the equivalent of what I bought when I went to uni, although for one reason or another I went for a backpack style crumpler and a supercompact 12.5" notebook. Enjoy :)

That's pretty nasty; has that developed solely over the course of 3/4 years?

Rather glad I bought a netbook and carry pretty much naff all around with me! You can accomplish rather a lot with a laptop that has a 3G data connection and a large USB stick or two. Aside from opening cases of course, but that's what Leatherman tools were invented for...

First symptoms were from way before I even got a laptop to carry around but the heavy bag has definitely made it much, much worse

Returning to the original topic, I have just bought an Intel stock heatsink. With actual money, and voluntarily. I think I might need medical attention.

    I hope so.

For someone as obsessed with music as I am I've really had a very poor track record with audio equipment!

Plan on getting me a Xonar DX and some decent speakers too (M Audio AV 20/30/40s maybe).
