^A good trick that will be somewhat cheaper is to put a sock over the outside of your shoe to help improve your grip on slippery iced up pavements etc..

But what if it's really cold and the water soaks into the sock and freezes, then you will have ice skates.

Ice on ice does actually have a fair bit of grip. Not as good as spikes, but still better than rubber on ice.

I toyed with the idea of yaktrax last year, because where I lived, everything was badly block paved, and thus, iced over like mad.

However, I found out that they wear out very quickly, if not used exclusively on ice - So yo maintain them for longer than a winter, you'd have to take them off between patches of ice. I decided I'd rather just take the risk than spend £40 on something that could well die inside a month.

I've got some, but they dislike my footwear. My feet are too big, and my trainers aren't very... the right shape, the front tends to ride up the front of my trainers so I end up with metal heels. (I didn't buy, I just found them in my house...)

Not really that good, I find just walking steadily without sliding my feet works just as well...

Sweetness! The specs on that thing are quite nice! Once I get a more 'permanent' place to live I would love to setup a good projector style theater/entertainment room. I just gotta wonder if they are going to be releasing a 3D projector in the near future - all you would need is the cheap plastic glasses like those at the theaters. Not those ridiculously priced shutter glasses. A 3D projector would get my attention pretty quickly.

I just bought a few cans of Monster. Hopefully they'll keep me going at the match tonight. Holycrap I did a lot of running around last night - hopefully things will be better organized and calmer tonight :p

Supermarine Spitfire Mk XIII scale model, a bunch of Boeing fridge magnets and a McDonnell Douglas tie pin.

Can you tell I'm enjoying Seattle?

If you want a 3D projector you have to part with some serious dough to get a 1080p one.. I'd much rather go for quality>3D
