Stop thinking about it and buy one. Of all the aluminium cases I've owned, the A05's are the best by far. Still lusting after a TJ07 for myself though, and an FT02 special ;)

Just picked up and built my sandy bridge system.

    i5-2500k
    Ausu p8-p67 Pro
    8GB Corsiar Vengence ram
    Thermaltake Jing
    Fractual Design Refine R3 Black
    WD 1TB Caviar Black HDD
    GTX 460 - (Soon to be OC'd)
    Corsiar TX850 PSU.

And it was overclocked to 4.3Ghz at the push of a button in the bios and is sitting at 33deg Celsius.....and the only noise you can hear is when the CD drive goes off.

Cant wait to get home tonight to overclock it to 4.6-4.8 :D

    A pair of these:

Or anything equivalent that my brother can find. Stage Boots :D
It helps to have a brother in the armed forces, where he can pick those up for WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY under the 200 Euro retail price.

Only arriving in August/September when my brother comes for holidays, though...

My guess is that it's a decommissioned firearm. And if he's getting a case for his blades it'll have to be lockable anyway, by law (if he's in the UK that is).

I call shens, blades don't need to be locked away in the UK

I know that ordinary (not even UK legal carry) knives don't - my knives are in an unlocked glass cabinet - but I thought I was once informed by a UK blade dealer that if being put on display, swords and katanas had to be enclosed in a lockable display case. I don't own (and don't have any interest in owning) any blades over 5" anyway so it makes no difference to me :)

    Aye, its a decommisioned rifle.

Definitely looking for a lockable case (don't want nephews anywhere near them)

    As for laws regarding swords:

ANY sword with a curved blade over 50cm is now banned from sale, import, trade or transfer.
There are several exemptions to the sword ban - These exemptions are:
•Members of historical re-enactment groups which hold a Public Liability Certificate.
•Members of a Martial Arts club which hold a Public Liability Certificate.
•Use for authorized Theatrical / film use.
•All Swords over 100 years old.
    •Samurai Swords made before 1954.
•Samurai Swords made in Japan at any time using the traditional forging technique.

50cm rule screws me over with a couple of the katanas I saw (though they where in bad nick, there where a couple wakizashis and a tanto I wanted.

    To replace my failing 8800GTX

I probably should clean the case slightly.

Hopefully my power supply can cope, the idle power usage has dropped by about 45 watts but I haven't put it under heavy load yet.

Nice one, I'd be very interested in seeing some pics if and when you get them, and get them on display :)

You win this page of the thread ;) That's quite the jump - from an 8800GTX to a 560! The EVGA is a tasty looking card too, enjoy :thumb:

Tell me what the load noise levels are like? I'm thinking of using the EVGA Step-up to abandon this GTX460. It's decent, but runs fairly hot and loud, and I was thinking of the 560Ti for a quick jump. Depening on how much money I have, as well, I may go to a 570.

I just ran 3DMark Vantage (the most demanding thing I have on the computer until I get my 3DMark11 code from EVGA) and didn't notice any extra noise over the case fans. The card is at about 35c at idle where as my 8800GTX was at 56c. During 3DMark it didn't exceed 60.

My 3DMark score has gone up by OVER 9000! (7090 to 16199).

(EDIT: The idle temp just dropped to 33)

Funny that, I've got a GTX 460 from evga, can't say it's 'hot and loud' at all. Must be your case. Then again mines not overclocked at all. I got it from RMA for my 4 yr old 8800GTX. :D

Mine's an SC with the FPB thing added. It's overclocked. Hmm. My 9800GT was overclocked as far as I could get it with a Vortexx Neo, and I never hit 55C, and it was nice and quiet. This is the EE model, in case yours is different.

I had to tweak the fan profiles a touch. It was getting too toasty in Crysis Warhead.

I just ran EVGA OC Scanner and the Temp of the 560 jumped to almost 80c within a few minutes, the fan speed remained below 50% though so the card didn't seem to think it was a problem.T here was a slight hint of fan noise from the card. Load was about 75%.
