El cheapo IP cam with pan&tilt.
Using "IP Cam PTZ" Firefox plugin instead of supplied software which requires IE+ActiveX (read last part of my sig).

Heh, at the moment there is one 1500W, one 1250W, two 850W, a 620W and a 600W PSU running a total of 6 machines in my workshop. I think I need a power station more! :D

Mmm, tasty looking bit of kit & software. Linky for el cheapo cam? I assume that one doesn't do outdoors/isn't weatherproof? I need one here for the driveway with a monitor in the workshop. It being a windowless room at the back of the house behind the basement garage means that I have no idea when courriers/customers arrive. The doorbell can't be heard unless the door to the house is open and I have no music playing. Which is... never. So yeah, one of those would be very handy :) Either that or a wireless doorbell for the workshop. Or both.

Okay okay, I cheated. One of them is going back as I RMA'ed it and did a cross shipment (meaning the second one will be refunded when they get the first one)

Turns out the first card is fine though because I have the same problem with the second one :grr:

May as well try SLI out while you can! Provided of course that the problem you speak of isn't some huge issue that stops you playing games.

Is that an optical illusion or is the top card shorter than the bottom one?

I have a 60% performance drop in every situation. There seems to be no reason for this as the problem just comes and goes randomly

    related thread

    nah they're identical ;)

Is there any way you could try them in another system and see if it does the same thing?

Planning to be rich... Assuming Iraq dosnt put itself back into the stone ages somehow.

Im registered here and keep track of current events inline with this investment. And in all honesty I have done my research, read a hell'va a lot of information and been watching for sometime (this summer will be 2+ years). Take it for what its worth. :)

Final student loan order (with a little bit of help working in the bar)

I've removed the HDD rack to free up airflow so I'm trying to really cool things down and make things quieter, my 280 has been dying for a while now with random shut downs and general odd behaviour as well as rising temps (it was a refurb - never again). The air penetrators will be intakes and the apache will be my new heatsink fan, the scythe will put my HDD in a 5.25 bay and my ssd is now velcroed in the case.

I quite like the idea of a card with a triple slot cooler thats just nice and quiet but keeps the GPU very cool, trust me having dealt with this 280 it'll be a godsend. Hopefully this will carry me into BF3 and beyond as i can't see myself being able to upgrade for a couple of years.

Yeah, but hellish tax break when itemizing the interest. Renters get no slack! and the home improvements - take one room for home office and write off that sq ft/meters. Office is anything from room to put computer business to room to do taxes! bought light bulb? Home improvement. paint? check. carpet or rugs? check. For us colonials. YMMV

    Specs:-
Built in Linux webserver, wifi b/g, ethernet, motion alarm relay, pan/tilt (no zoom), max res 640x480, "patrol mode" - programmable scanning pattern, horizontal 270 degrees, vertical 90 degrees, wall mounting bracket supplied.

You're right about weather, it's stricly indoor only, and the ring of IR leds for night vision just reflect off my window in the dark, completely washing out the pic.
You might be better off with a fixed outdoor one pointing down your drive?

Maplin - Both Belfast branches have one, it may be cheaper than shipping from mainland?
