Yeah I think it was overrated too; I will say it does get better as you work your way through it.

Hopefully this won't spark as much controversy as my last purchase, but I just bought Microsoft Train Sim 2012 in the Steam sale :)

I take no offence at the purchase, but feel the need to point out that it isn't made by Microsoft anymore.

nice :D Rise Against do an amazing live show.

I just picked up some loctite 2 part epoxy... hopefully that will do better to bond my maverick ratchet system together.

A bucket of sweets to give to kids going around saying "Trick or Treat".

Thank god I no longer live in London. You had to give bags of sweets out in fear of a trick.

Almost the opposite here. Used to live off in the woods where the only kids who came by were your neighbors so it was no trouble at all to stock a few really large candy bars or goody bags.

This is my first Halloween "in the city" and in an area that's relatively popular as a trick or treating spot. I'll be damned if some little brat from across town gets dropped of here in order to get more candy than his/her own neighborhood. Ruins the spirit of the holiday, imo. Haven't bought any candy, haven't put up any decorations. Let them do their worst.

EDIT: thelaw, you need to put some sort of spoiler tags on that or something. Might need some cleaning tips from the "yoghurt" thread after seeing that beast!

Been an expensive couple of days.

I bought a pair of Shimano XTR M980 10 speed shifters as they had 10%off voucher and it's the last component other than the shifter cables and a few consumables I need to finish my mountain bike.

I also had to spend £115.50 on 6mths road tax for my van. Also had the vans MOT today (passed with no problems) the tester said it was a pleasure to work on as it was so tidy and well looked after so that made me happy.

Good thing about Railworks is that all future base games will be free to existing owners, so all you'll ever have buy are the add ons.

A new Xbox 360 S 250GB matte black + Battlefield 3 + 12 months XBL + 2m high speed hdmi for £190 which is a bargain considering the console alone normally costs that much.

It's to replace my old one so I picked up a HDD transfer cable and new MS wireless headset that works on Bluetooth (phone, PS3) too.
