Long story short: bought an i7 980 on ebay last Wed and the seller has turned out to be a lowlife scam artist who has done a runner with my money. I'll get it back through paypal no problemo, so in the meantime I bought myself a cherry-picked-by-batch 980X for some extreme winter overclocking and benching :D

I've got a chair project going on. I've seen this before on here I believe.
    Base of the chair
Heavy Duty Pneumatic cylindre, capable of supporting 500 lbs.
(Will show a picture if someone is that excited about a gas-operated cylinder, reply accordingly)

Casters for the chair. Aluminum 3" diameter with rubber inserts.

And the icing on the cake
    (generic pic)

BMW M3 e46 red leather seat.

Also bought a new Mini 9 lid, redoing the laser cutting of the apple logo into this one. This time sandwiching with Lexan and thinner white acrylic.

The previous result, first time manning the laser cutter, since he i've logged quite a few hours and it'll cut much better. I hope the thinner acrylic diffuses the light better. PCB in the way on the bottom.

How much does something like this set you back?

My dad wants to get something similar for our place.

    The seat was 300 USD
base was sourced by an individual part basis, ended up being rather steep, but I did get something that I'd think was cohesive in its appearance. that was 330 USD with shipping, I'll definitely have to try and figure out how the motors are wired to run off the wall.

So 630USD thus far, excluding the steel for the mounting plate and appropriate grade 8 hardware. Albeit thats cheap as chips thanks to a local hardware surplus store.

what ? Only 600 for the two of them ? I looked for leather seats for my Accord (from other Accords) and everything I found was around that price ... For 10 year old Accord seats

300 for just the seat, keeping an eye out on eBay over time will bear fruits.
    330 for the base.
~20 for the final mounting I'd budget.

Having a local scrap yard is always handy for this kinda thing- you never know when some twonk will total their bmw or merc etc and you can swoop in and nab the seat(s) for a bargain price ( or not )...

    13" Macbook Air. Boom!

Oh and I got a new slim PS3 to replace my YLODed release day fat 60GB. (I did open up the old one and reflow the chips which worked for about 10 minutes).

I should certainly hope that's a generic pic! There's most of an M3 interior in that room by the looks of it... and some rims! :D
