I used to drive a A6 2.5 TDI and it never broke. Drove it 200K miles before I had to get rid of it. Fantastic to drive great cruiser and even in town stick it in 3rd gear and you are good in any situation and you can take speed bumps like the don't exist. But it didn't have great handling.

Deary me Bennie - why would you sell a top-class smoker like that for something with high b0rk potential?

I know Krikkit, it is a shame really - forced to changed due to my job travel has increased from 120 miles a month to 1500 miles a month, and 20mpg from the 2.7 is just too costly.

I have heard of the issues with the 2.5tdi, but some people love them I have seen loads of exmaples over 300k miles and some have had nothing but problems, sadly a risk I am going to have to take to get my MPG to 40.

It has Full Audi Service History and was within my budget, so far, so good. Time will tell.

    Those 2.7's are NIIICE, though.
I almost bought a second hand 2.7 A6 Allroad instead of my Fiat Bravo. Wht put me off the idea was the repair costs involved should anything at all go wrong witht he suspension.

Nowadays, an Allroad seems like a good option again, and in Namibia, it'd fit the bill quite well as well.

5 pairs of trainers, 9 t-shirts and a pair of jeans for £237. I felt like spending all the overtime money i've earned in the last couple of weeks on a wardrobe overhaul.

It's like anything though, you have good batches, and bad batches. I've had my A5 for over a yr, and it's been trouble free so far.

My previous car, the Jag X-type, that thing needed a new Turbo (Electronic actuator died) after 2 months. (£900 for a new Turbo, which is a all in one unit. (Manifold and turbo)). Needed a new Power steering pump, Electric windows stopped working. EGR valve...(Which in the end, I took off the inlet manifold, and EGR valve. Cleaned it all up, and then blocked off the EGR valve, which made the car more responsive.)

Out of all the cars I have owed, Audi has the best build quality in my opinion.

As for my missus Vauxhall Vectra...That thing is just falling apart. Poor build quality in my opinion. (Soon to trade it in for a A4 Saloon new shape). :)

I hope your not selling them over here. :D Or if they are for yourself, do your self a favour, and give up the fags! :)
