Rubbish bin upgrade was overdue ( current small plastic one is 12+ years old and rather manky ), rug will save my new carpet from damage caused by my swivel chair wheels ( why is it so hard to find a plain, single-colour short pile rug that isn't totally cheap crap... )

My friend vomited into one of those when he was pissed.

Woke up in the morning and discovered his mistake. Filtered vomit in the bin and stomach juice on his carpet....

I did that once but my stomach juice was so acidic, it almost ate right through the carpet. Not good... :nono:

What don't you like about it exactly? They have some the same style ( Ikea versions ) at the architects where I clean and they are really stylish bins, pretty big and perfectly stable too..

I'll keep that in mind, but I'm not a light-weight like you lot, I can hold my drink! ( not that I drink very much or often anyway, but all the same )... :D :thumb:

Not that I condone it (or do it anymore :worried:) but that was one of the few nights that I've thrown up after drinking and my friends tell me it was because some girl was chasing me around with a bottle of whiskey and I kept obliging her by swigging from it through the night.

They (and I) were very disappointed when they didn't find her in my bed the next morning, but I guess you can blame that on the stomach acid :hehe:

Well this is what my desktop looks like now - out with the dual monitor setup (U3011) and in with a decent pair of studio monitors and a firewire audio interface (Saffire Pro 14).

Could NOT be happier... don't miss the 30" monitor at all, and 20" feels perfect. :)

I would cry if I had to replace my 30" with a 20" monitor.

you must REALLY like the speakers if you're fine with downgrading from a 30" to 20" monitor :D

    same.

@flame, took delivery of the Alesis monitors and the firewire interface this afternoon, just got them fired up for the first time shortly before taking the picture! ;)

@smc, that's a Cherry keyboard - it looks retro, but even at 14 years old it feels as good as new. :D

And I really did think I would miss my 30" monitor, but I don't - probably because I don't game so much these days. For general PC use/web browsing, 20" (at 1600x1200) is like a very large laptop screen and is very comfortable. :thumb:

My queue number came up and just ordered my Raspberry Pi today. Money well spent I think. Now there's just the 10 weeks waiting for it.
