    How many drives though?

And I suspect my speeds are mainly down to the SAS card I'm using _REALLY_ not liking my Motherboard. It's totally absent from the compatability lists for the card, but I have managed to bodge it into working.

And yes, I have noticed a fairly dramatic improvement in speeds for what I'm using them for :D

    6 drives in RAID5
I posted the HDTach screenshot for a giggle btw, you should realise that HDTach gives zero indication of actual performance

For what, may I ask, are you using the drives?

Yeah, I could just find SFA to use as a comparison between my old drive and these new ones.

Basically, if you know anything about me, I'm a heavy EVE player. I play with more than one client. At the same time. Upwards of 4 clients at the minute, all doing stuff, all the time. With my old single drive, the loads would really, really chug along. Now stuff is loading over 4 clients at the same speed it used to take 1 client to load. And when you're trying to fly in a 400+ man fleetbattle with 2 of your characters, whilst shopping with another, you really don't want long load times :p

Ah, EVE, destroyer of lives :D

Does each client run in a different location, or do they all access the same files on disk?
If its a matter of having the client installed in 4 seperate locations, you may find it better just having it installed on seperate disks (then you can get rid of the controller if you're having problems with it). If they access the same bits on disk, RAID10 is the way to go, if you haven't already that is :thumb:

    proper off-topic this, anyway :worried:

Nowt wrong with that! Well, not with the long bit anyway. Putting it up your nose would be a bit silly...

I was just using that as a guide to the length. I usually have my hair that long, but I'm off on holiday for a month on saturday so when I get back it would be in my mouth.

I like having my hair quite long, problem is that school is too damn strict about hair length.

That's 8 lengths of two by two, each 2.4 meters long,
and one 2.4 meter long 25mil wooden dowel (which is too thin, and bloody expensive! >.< )
