Pre-ordered Collectors Ed Bioshock for the 360
Sent my glasses back yet again (my prescription has changed within the space of a week so by the time I got the first pair they were wrong :(, they initially thought it was an error made by the computer or something when printing out my prescription but when they were fixed they still didn't work)

Yep mine's very similar, except it's a little unit that the flash hotshoe slides into, 'cos my 430EX doesn't have a sync cable socket. Looking at that auction though, it has the necessary adaptor so it'd be fine anyway.

Anyway it arrived this morning, and after I'd replaced the battery (£6 :() and stopped my phone triggering the flash (yay 15 blinding flashes in 5 seconds) it's working brilliantly. Time to read more strobist articles I think...

I thought I'd give myself an extra challenge, would've ordered the 5x5x5 one as well but I can't find it anywhere in the UK. I've heard they're not much harder than the regular cube, it's just the take more time to do.

Can't wait for my Mr. Bubbles to arrive to go next to my Halo 2 SPARTAN figure.

if you start at the 3x3x3 then move up to the 4x4x4 and then advance onto the 5x5x5 then you have pretty much laid all the foundations down so you know most of it therefore making it easier theoretically. Also the centre pieces are fixed like the 3x3x3 which makes it easier aswell and if you try http://www.rubiks.com/ you may be able to get one from there. whats your best times?

Hmm, looking at that Strobist site, I think I may just pick up one of those $120 kits from MPEX that they recommend, that's got the wireless transmitter, umbrella and stand, and a few other oddities. Price probably comes out the same, but I don't need to worry about multiple sellers, shipping charges, or weird incompatibilities.

Also, my new MS Wireless Laser Mouse 8000 just came in. Finally I've got a full-size bluetooth mouse, and it thankfully works fine with my Mac without the stupid dongle. Can't say I'd suggest getting one for gaming (the side buttons are pretty awkwardly placed) but for people who want a rechargeable bluetooth mouse, and more specifically not one of those tiny notebook ones, I'd say go for it. It's a bit pricey at $70 but big deal, it's one time and should last quite a while and does what I want.

And now I'm off to Barnes and Noble to see if there's any worthwhile books on marketing for freelance work :)

Good luck getting the LE copy, or did you order the Collectors edition?

Collectors is the helmet isn't it?

I get confused by all the editions. I just got the Tin one as I get 10% off HMV, I have £10 of points and £39.99 credit note

Nope, Legendary is helmet, collectors/limited is tin

It's actually called Limited Collectors Edition, two editions in one! Value for money or what!

I also ordered the LCE edition Halo 3 which I forgot about until I looked at my current orders on the GAME web site.

Add a set of wireless flash triggers and a camera hand strap to my list of recents, along with a gallon of milk. And I feel that a photography umbrella is coming shortly.
