Just finished that the other day, it's hardly a groundbreaking piece of literacy, but it serves it's purpose to entertain and give us a bit of backstory on the Mass Effect universe. Deffinitely worth a read for any Mass Effect follower, I'm hoping they'll bring out a few more books after the game is released too.

@firehed and bindi - i use it withe meagre 400D, but will try to produce something nice, soon, currently im getting used to size of this thing. And weight, it weighs more than my camera body :O

Meager? I'll kill you. Or my 400D will.

Wait till you have a giant flash mounted on top too. I hold it rather than the lens with my left hand when shooting portrait orientation, at least when I'm in autofocus. The 580EXII is rather gargantuan compared to the 400D (esp. with the tiny 50f/1.8), if I do say so myself. It's downright funny if you don't have a battery grip on.

Best Buy decided to trade me for my Sony W5 for a Cannon SD750, had to pay an extra $100 though. My W5 was sent out to service and a month and a half later it showed up, not fixed. So I said a trade was in order. :)

well, i meant the size ;) otherwise im very happy with my cam. I was a bit affraid if it isn't a bit too small for 24-105 - had some doubts whether my palm will fit between the grip and the lens, but everything is fine. I guess you'd have to chop in some 85/1.2L to make that space between grip and lens small enough that hands don't fit, ergo all the people who say that 400D is too small are wrong :D

i don't have battery grip (yet :naughty:) and going to get 50/1.8 too for some bokeh fun, can't find mkI anywhere though (its glass opposed to plastic in mkII)

I got to admit though that I got hots for 40D/5D now :], lack of spot metering is kind of killing me

Earth Octave Lounge, Vol. 2; Interchill Records
11 tracks on 1 compact disc

One of the very best ever compilations of downtempo moods from the Canadian chillout experts, Interchill Records. Fundamentally, organic ambient-dub consists most of the album, which opens with a semi-ambient breakbeat track and then softens out into an Amazonic mood thereafter.

I highly recommend this (just $9.99!!:jawdrop:) and they ship internationally. Distribution of this somewhat older album will cease sometime later this year, so get it while it's hot.

It scores an excellent 8 out of 10 from me.

Exactly what I was looking for, I read the first 11 pages before I got "distracted" (women) but I can see it being similar to the Halo stuff.

Except this comes out before mass effect like a proper prequel.

For £5 I like the idea.

Great Buy. I've had mine for 5 months or so now, and its brilliant for how much it cost. Shame its a bit big and uses xD memory cards though.

The extra you'd pay for the Mk I with the metal mount almost makes it worth bumping up to the 1.4 which is has metal mount as well, is faster, and has USM.

But bleh, spot metering is overrated. Just use your gut instincts in manual mode :) Or so says the lack of useful metering when you've got your flash off-camera with very cheap wireless transmitters. You've got the delete button for a reason.
