^ This, and contrary to what everyone's saying about pathetic sums - why don't you read up on how a Steam sale saved Introversion? On-topic, Uplink is 66% off!

I also have a copy of Dirt 2 up for grabs. Also have Half Life 2 to gift as well, it has been sitting waiting to be gifted for a few years now!

I will send them over Steam.

Don't be greedy now! If you genuinely want to play these games, say below.

I'd be very happy to take Dirt 2 off your hands. I'm really tempted to buy it but was a bit fearful of how well it would work with keyboard controls (I don't own a pad or wheel).

    Much thanks!

(I have PMed you my Steam ID as I stupidly made it my real name so would rather not post it too openly)

No problem. I've got a Xbox 360 Controller and reckon it wouldn't be as easy using the digital signal of a Keyboard over the analogue of a Controller.

    I've added you to Steam.

I also have a copy of Half-Life 2 to gift that's been sitting in my queue for a long time ... anyone genuinely interested in playing, PM me and I'll send it along.

Telltale Boy, I've got DiRT 2. And I use a keyboard for it..... largely because I have not got a controller and because I got very used to it with GP2.... Ah, the memories!

Anyway, DiRT 2 is relatively ok to use with keyboards as far as acceleration and braking goes. And steering. Just kinda gotta remember to tap it quite a bit to do the "feathering the throttle" bit. That helps A LOT when you're not sure you're gonna make the turn and are sliding.....which WILL happen a lot.

Anyway, the physics of the game doesn't seem to make any real difference if you use a wheel, controller or keyboard from what people say.

Uplink is a bit cheaper on Greenman gaming (£1.78). I'm tempted but I don't know much about it and I don't have time to look tonight. Hopefully it'll still be there tomorrow.

anyone else noticed the amazing amount of non-active posters who jump in to try grab free-bee's? :(

on-topic : Uplink is on the daily deal today. I highly recommend this to anyone who has ever fancied seeing what high level hacking is like. it's a hacking simulator and it's pretty good at that. have to route back to machines and ip's you've bounced from and delete the records of you being there so you don't get caught. simple yet very addictive if you really have a go at it :D
