Multi Latest Steam & General Gaming Bargains: Read first post!

I never get round to playing games on Steam 3 Tomb Raider's for under a tenner though, is very tempting indeed.....

Actually I'm not sure that's right Azrael, because it changes over at 6pm BST (British Summer Time), which is UTC+1 and the same as CET, correct me if I'm wrong.

Time zones are confusing

@edit: Yeah, just looked into it and it should be 6pm CET, but if you have daylight savings you'll be on CEST which is UTC+2 so it'd be 7pm. I think. Maybe. XD

@@edit: Of course, you could just go on the Steam store page and look at the countdown timer

I'd have boughgt Risen today but...

The game is -75% in the US and sells for $7.50. That's 5,24€.
The game is -66% in the EU and sells for 10,19€ or 194%.

It's nothing new that we get shafted over here, but 94% more? That's almost twice as much. For a game developed by a German studio. Not. Buying.

EDIT: Appearently they edited the price in the US as well, it's $10.20 now as well. Nvm then. Still not buying. But I swear it was at $7.50 yesterday.

 

i think i'll go for the tiberium wars and red alert 3 games. they seem pretty solid. I can't believe no one here plays CnC.

 

A lot of the US are still waking up and a lot of the UK/EU are still at work. Give it a few more hours! I reckon a lot of the geeks on here will be RTS fans (economics and planning) and give us good advice

As for the guys in EU that are struggling to get bargains, why don't you just say in the thread what game you want, I'm sure people will help out with gifting for paypal ...

C&C Red Alert 3: Uprising for 2€

For Kane! uhhh, well I do.
C&C3 is a bargain at these prices, played all of the offered ones
C&C4 now though...well, if you're a fan, and need to complete your urge to aid/destroy Kane. Buy it.

If you're not a fan, keep the heck away from it. Definitely DON't start with C&C4 if you don't know the other parts (as it'l put you off.)

what a crazy 5 minutes, just got my Tomb Raider purchases in at 3 minutes to 6pm and now Fallout 3 is for sale at a great price. The only thing left for me to buy in this sale now is the Valve Pack.....
